i'd like to see a stamina mode where you pick three characters and whenever one of them dies the next one appears on a recovery platform

and, yea, it would totally roxorz if stamina mode had variable hp

The only really good idea i've thought of for brawl, is including Giga mode. Where ever character has the same moves but is bigger and has added effect. Like Link would have the Master Sword and be able to shoot his beams out of it. Giga Bower would pretty much be the same. Mewtwo could charge up more then just one blast at a time.Ranges would increase, all attack would be better. Only problem Young link would turn to Link, Pichu would be Pikachu. Eh just a though, which i thought would be pretty cool.

they should do more about the stamina melee
for me, its the most interesting "special melee" but anyone noticed that it doesn't even give a winner screen or extra options ? thats lame... (but its probably because ppl wouldnt use stamina to get all the bonuses and the diskun trophy.... )

Well if theres low grav, why not high grav? You can't jump as high, makes recovery hard =D. Also an advantage for the big guys like bowser, everyones running speed gets cut, the lower the weight and strength, the more the cut. Bowser would barely be affected because of his weight, C. Falcon would be a affected slightly more, but barely anything cuz of his strength.
P.S: Weight gives you more resistance to the speed change than strength.

High grav wouldn't work for some stages. :/ Same with no-jump mode.

The reverse mode should also reverse the sounds of the characters or something. :D "Uu-cha-kip!"

If the special melee modes from Melee are in Brawl, they should be able to combine some of them, like say, Giant Invisible Melee. I was also thinking Metal Melee for some reason. And one where you fight to gain the crowd's attention, like in Paper Mario.

Ending your game.
It's totally off what you guys are talking about but how about this...
It would be like the event match where yoshi has to protect his egg, but this time, everyone has a special item they have to protect. At the same time, they have to destory the speical item your enemy has. Your stock would only go down when the item gets broken, and you return on the recovery platform with the item already in hand. You could have a mini-percentage next to yours to tell you how much more damage it can take, like stamina.
Or maybe it could change depending on the stage. Take Big Blue for example. Each of you would get your own F-Zero machine that would stay on the screen the whole time, and you have to destroy the other's before the opponets get yours. When it blows up, you lose a stock, it comes back, fight some more, rinse and repeat.

Am I making sense?

What I'm really hoping for is the ability to stack special melee modes.
I want a slo-mo giant melee, and a lightning Tiny melee. I really like the idea of a Air melee Maybe it should be called dogfight mode. Anyway, imagine that, but lightning. I tihnk the option to add various modes should be unlockable in additional rules. I love that sort of unlockable thing.

I second that. Mix Brawl should be a option. Whether it should be unlockable or not, I don't know..

Now THAT is a good idea.

a super move melee: you can only use the new super moves and you can use them as much as you want or al your b moves become special moves, like bowsers firebreath becomes a fireball, etc.

I know a lot of peple have said some of these before but I'll just list all I like and dislike to increase their (un)popularity.

I would like to see:

-Adjustable health in stamina mode
-Metal Melee (I guess they'll call it metal brawl)
-Bomb-omb mode (It would be just like sudden death where after you wait for 2 minutes bomb-ombs fall from the sky in random places)
-High gravity melee
-Low gravity melee
-Versus giant melee ( possibly make 1 giant and everyone else mini or normal sized to team (if they want to) up against the giant)
-Versus metal melee (similar to above but you are made metal (or de-metalized(?)) randomly after you die)
Pokemon melee (you can only kill each other with pokeball attacks)

Things that would have to go (if low on space):
Fixed camera
Single button

I can't think of anything else.

Wow there's a lot of good ideas in here. I don't know what I'd call it but heres my idea. It's a 1 V 3 except whenever the 1 gets killed, whoever kills them becomes the 1. Am I making any sense xD? Also, if your playing stock, you can only lose stock when your on the team of 3. Okay maybe this is just a terrible idea rofl. Would be interesting for 5 minutes tho.

home-run melee: everyone gets a homerun bat. you can't attack. bombs are coming down and you need to "home run" themto shoot an opponent. hmm, sounds quite hard to perform

Less perfection where? I don't think a few new fun modes would hurt anyone, it's not like we are saying there should be 50 new modes, I doubt a maximum 5 would ruin the game in anyway.

I suppose the movement of characters and possibly new moves would be better than a bunch of new special modes.

I normally play special modes to mix things up when beating my friends to pulp gets boring.

I think Special Melee should just be one mode, instead of various selectable types. This would go along the lines of stackable modes- instead, you'd just use a special menu to edit things. You would be able to check mark things like metal, invisible, or other status effects. Then, meters like the Damage Ratio meter to decide things like speed, size, gravity level, or beginning damage. Basically, we should be able to have enough freedom to make our own event matches.

This was sort of said earlier, but I'll go into more detail. Takedown melee: One person is the "Hunter". The hunter's job is to kill as many as possible before being killed itself, each kill awarding one point. The killer takes on the role of the hunter, and everyone's % returns to the starting percentage. You could choose special conditions, such as making the hunter deal twice as much damage or be giant sized or... well, anything to make the hunter better than the others.
So- in short, you only get points if you kill someone as the hunter.
You become the hunter by killing a hunter.
Sounds pretty great to me.

Also, you should be able to apply special handicaps, making certain players start off with certain status effects etc.
