Btw, if you're going to only watch one match, watch the second one the whole thing. I do much better at the end but still get destroyed. T_T I chose FoD because I noticed Spam didn't really abuse dair so I figured it was a smart decision.

My techchasing was off due to an 11 hour drive/no sleep/singles starting at like 6pm. /super johns Btw Singles starting so late wasn't Scar's fault, everyone didn't show up until like 3/4pm lol.

I used to play sheik and I remember one of my friends consistently ****** me with falco. I guess some thing to look into that worked for me is crouch canceled dsmashes. Also, use dsmash as edgeguard when falco's off the stage. However, I don't really know too much about sheik, so if someone comes in with a better answer, listen to them, but from my experience, dsmash is good.

Dsmash isn't good vs Falco. It's good like, extremely circumstantially. I'm so used to the typical dair shine mah shield foreva. When he didn't pillar me I was like... uh.... T_T WHAT DO I DOOOO!?!?! Lol.

If anyone wants to see me vs Eggm just say something... otherwise I'm not putting it up because it takes like 5 minutes.

That's weird because I was told the opposite from the kid that I play with. He said I wasn't down smashing enough and I was basically in the same situation as you (drill shine madness). Idk, like I said, I don't know to much about sheik, but I thought it would help. I did like the tech chasing the down grabs in the second match. I guess keep doing that, it was working xD

You're just getting stuck in shield too much and picking bad stuff to get out of shield (roll spam lolz). By far that is the most glaring issue for your vs Falco atm. That and just general anti-laser stuff, but spam's lasering is so pretty.

I was by the ledge and I didn't want to keep getting baired. Every time I was like, crap don't roll because you're going to get ***** LOL. Being near the ledge with your shield getting spaced baired is probably the worst position I can think of to be in lol.

I'm uploading the matches now. Gimme a sec. I have a bunch of friendlies too and I really don't know what is what. All I know is I have this one awesome match I played when I watched Tope then played Eggm. It was too good.

I think you need to be careful about how you're doing your M2K style gimps offstage lolz, you often kill yourself doing them. Just simple traditional edgeguarding with back air from the ledge or edgehogging is acceptable too

You were much more creative with Eggm for escaping his ledge pressure. As in you actually got out of it sometimes

That was me with bad techchasing too. Just wait til you see some vids of me getting it down. Is anyone else inconsistent with techchasing?

Like, at SPOC, it was mostly predicting with a little bit of reaction.

against falco you were just freezing too much

automatic sheild grabbing when they finish an attack is a bad habit
watch to see if the falco messes up his l-cancel before you attempt a sheild grab
(like if the falco short hopped and pillared too late so you see just the beginning of the move come out before he hits the ground and your sheild then theres a good chance he will have some lag)

wave dash out of sheild would have been perfect in those matches

falcos really dont like ppl above them. while you near center stage its ok to double jump and come down with an aerial

i also agree that d-smash is usually not worth the risk against falco. but if you can spot them mess up n-airs/pillars then you can try the CC downsmash(if you are at low percents of course)

try approaching with f-air or bair aswell


for fox you did good.

you threw out alot of moves (which is what i do too because fox is just too fast) but make sure all that s*** you throw out is spaced.

Yeah, I've been playing some Falcos that miss lcancels so I kinda got into the habit before the tourny to shieldgrab. Once I get outta that habit again, it should help.

try approaching with f-air or bair aswell

falco's utilt ***** anything sheik wants to do from above. plus a good falco will just time an aerial if he sees you double jump and then you have no jump :\ as a general rule i see no reason to be above a falco unless you're throwing needles.

and fair is good vs falco, especially captain jack style. i always used to try spacing bairs against falcos. Scud started CCing them though and apparently sheik's leg can be shined. so trading a bair for a shine-dair combo sucks :\ i haven't had any other falcos do that to me yet, but if you see it happen, don't approach with bair against that person anymore XD.

a falco pillar can be grabbed. there are more than a few frames, like 8 or so i think, where he's vulnerable after the first dair-->shine. normally i'll try to roll at the first hit to keep my sheild...but yeah, after the 2nd dair in a dair-shine-etc combo he can be grabbed. you just have to time it. again, more info from scud, lol.
