If you had even PLAYED SMRPG, which you clearly didn't, you'd know that the game's entire story REVOLVED AROUND HIM. He was the ONLY character that knew what the hell was going on with the Kingdom, and without him the game would have been, for the most part, completely plotless. He's hardly a "minor character" and the part he played in the game was hardly "tiny".

Also, Krystal being in isn't a "good" thing. Star Fox Adventures SUCKED, and we all know it.

Fewer people played Super Mario RPG than they have most games on that list when it first came out. The reason it has so many downloads is because they heard it was a good game, but never heard of it before.

I myself never heard of it until reading through these forums, and downloaded it, though most of the other games I never bothered downloading because I have played and beat them, so why bother unless I want to relive the experience. I believe many have had the same experiences.

How is Midna different from Lucas? They both only appeared in one game, both quite recent.

Why? Falco has appeared in far more Star Fox games than Krystal.

Conclusion: Your list doesn't make much sense.

There are plenty of characters in the game that aren't very deserving. Especially characters like Pit and Ice Climbers, that only had one game. Why did they become characters in the Smash series? Purely due to popularity. And I have to admit, I don't know why Pit or Geno are popular, but apparently they are... so they should be in.

From the looks of it, he's saying more or less that popularity isn't the only factor AND that a roster of only popular characters doesn't excite him.

On the Japanese SSBM site, he states that IC's had the most potential he could do something unique with. He couldn't make a good moveset for Urban Champion from Urban Champion or Bubbles from Clu-Clu Land (quite frankly, I'm disappointed he couldn't come up with anything. Seriously.) Pit from Kid Icarus and Sukapon from Joy Mech Fight had trouble with the game's physics so he scratched them. IC's were the only way to go from there.

Geno - minor character in Super Mario RPG, has showed up as a minor NPC in other games. Low chance of getting in. I'd put him up there with, say, "Tarin the cucco farmer" from the Zelda games.

I'm pretty sure more people remember Geno than they do Ice Climbers.

For doubting Geno's inclusion, and saying that King K. Rool has a better chance than him, you suffer epic failure.

No no, it's more along the lines of, Mach Rider never actually was combat-ready sans his bike. I.E., his only offensive means, were built into his bike. Whereas Captain Falcon was said to be a competent fighter outside of his craft. Similarly, Fox McCloud was shown to be able to battle on foot back in Star Fox 64, and subsequently in most of his later games as well.

Actually, stickers mean nothing. Today's update showed a sticker of Link, from Twilight Princess, won in the Coin Shoot trophy game, and I think we'll all agree that Link, from Twilight Princess, is most assuredly playable.

The same goes for trophies, except for Assist Trophies.

BTW, you may be thinking of the ExciteBike trophy, not Mach Rider.
