Now that Sonic's has finally been confirmed. We can really go heavy on talking about what's in store for stuff from Sonic besides the roster which most likely is only Sonic himself.

I believe at least one or two of Sonic's friends will be assist trophies. I wouldn't mind if Tails was someone who could save you should you be blown off to the sides or fell down.

We already know Sonic Lost World's Windy Hill is a stage (The question is will it be there on both the Wii U and the 3DS?)

And of course everyone can't wait to see what kind of music representation makes it into the game. Personally hoping for some good tracks from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Ex: Crazy Gadget), Sonic Heroes (Ex: Mystic Mansion), Sonic and the Secret Rings (Ex: Unawakening Float), etc. Could we also see some more remixes of classic Sonic themes?

We also can't forget the trophy and stickers (if Stickers even return) that could be in this game too. So sit back and talk about what we hope makes up the Sonic content of the game.

I'm thinking that Shadow will retain his role as an Assist Trophy.

As for music... holy crud. I could make a whole entire list full of Sonic songs that I want to see appear in SSB4.

I consider it nothing less than an atrocity that they chose to remix Angel Island over Ice Cap Zone or Hydrocity Zone

Also why was Shadow chosen as an assist trophy over Eggman. I'd take Eggman ****ing **** up with his wrecking ball over mere time stopping any day

Anything from Colours, please.

We could actually see Dessert Ruins or such for the 3DS version. Casino Night Zone, Angel Island, Tropical Resort... There's so many potential stages.

Green Hill Zone will definitely be a returning theme.

Also, would love for the Death Egg Robot theme. Why? Dat hilarity.

The Sonic game series has one of the best music from any game I've ever heard. I would love some of the classic songs. His World, Live and Learn, and Super Sonic Racing Theme are probably my favorite songs, but all other songs are very, very impressive.

I do not want another playable Sonic character, nor do I expect one, but Sakurai is tricky like that. The Sonic series as a whole played a really huge role in Nintendo's history, and there could definitely be a few things up his sleeve.

Does this mean Sonic starts out as unlocked, too?

I hope they do some more remixes as the only one they got a chance to do was Angel Island.

This Tails idea reminds me of the Lakitu assist trophy from SSF2.

These are some songs from the Sonic The Hedgehog series I would like to hear in Smash 4:

♪ Green Hill Zone (Sonic Generations ver.)
♪ Reach for the Stars
♪ Planet Wisp
♪ Lost Labyrinth Zone
♪ The Palace that was Found
♪ Mushroom Hill Zone
♪ Hill Top Zone

I would also like Sonic Boom and Super Sonic Racing to return.
I would love those its ben know too well but oviously the sonic heroes song is coming back since it was in brawl and is used in the sonic trailer for the wii u/3ds version

And his world no brainer should be one of the songs my favorite song (and i hope its the lyric version)

Seeing as how the Wisps are making a comeback for Lost World, I think they'd make a great item. They'd give the user a one time effect temporarily.

Oh! I'm not the biggest Sonic fan, kinda neutral and all, but now that he's in I feel I reeeally have to request just one track:
Chemical Plant Zone (Modern)
That's all! That's all the Sonic things I need to request! ...
...well maybe just also mention that I wouldn't mind Stardust Speedway either...

With Sonic having already been in the plannings for Smash 4 from the start, as opposed to being last minute in Brawl, this now means that other things can be improved on in this time.

The Sonic series had only one remixed song in Brawl. I'm salivating just thinking about the many remixes we're gonna get for Smash 4.

Since we have a current stage, current music is probably gonna take priority. That means songs from Sonic 4 Episodes 1 and 2 will likely be heard. A remixed medley of the three Splash Hill Zone Acts and the three Sylvania Castle Zone Acts would be a welcome treat.

And Sonic Colors music will be used. No question. Tropical Resort Act 1, Planet Wisp Act 1, and Reach For the Stars will get priority from that soundtrack.

I thought that the Sonic soundtrack in Brawl was a bit... lacking...
They brought some good stuff from modern games, but if they can bring some more songs from the Mega Drive/Genesis games, then I won't complain (someone mentioned Chemical Plant Zone, that would be nice).
But otherwise... idk... maybe Escape from the City???

Almost all of the post-Saturn Sonic music is absolutely horrible. I know some of you are into Aerosmith soundalikes and hair metal but...I think everyone would greatly prefer music from the 4 main Genesis games and Sonic CD. Sonic Boom is a nostalgic classic and the Sonic R songs are pretty Quincy Jones style proto-DDR eurodance (I really hope "Can You Feel the Sunshine"/"Living in the City" are unlockable for laughs). Maybe some of the new soundtracks can be incorporated, so long as they are orchestral and not straight out of Guitar Center. The biggest problem with the Brawl soundtrack is there were SO MANY MIDI TRACKS. They got really lazy, unlike Melee which was a cohesive mix of orchestra (though some of it was fake but real-sounding) and classic themes. We don't need hundreds of horrible progmetal or EDM remixes of recognizable songs like there were in Brawl, we need the return of a concise and recognizable/iconic soundtrack that appeals to all players and doesn't annoy people to the point of not wanting to play anymore. I want Orchestra Melee, not OCREMIX.

As far as Sonic characters go I would really like to see Knuckles, as a semi-clone but with the ability to glide and grapple on to certain surfaces. A Sonic team (similar to the Fox clones) rounded out with Tails would be nice. I cannot see a playble Robotnick, and if he appears I don't want him to be terrifying humanoid like he was in Sonic '06. I am happy they made Sonic a cross between the classic Genesis era (his face) and early Dreamcast era (his body). Hopefully his voice is more tolerable. And hopefully Shadow is nothing more than an assist trophy. I am sorry but I really do not want him playable. It would mean the furry sect of DeviantART Sonic fans win and the people who have been playing these games for two decades have to deal with unrecognizable CGI recolors invading Smash Bros.

In a perfect world Ulala and Space Michael would be playable.

We know that Sonic Heroes is returning, from the trailer, I'd like to see some Sonic Colors music. That was great. Also, I'd like some orchestral music.

One piece of music that comes to mind is Giant Wing - Fire Stone which was Sonic's theme in Sonic the Fighters.

I very much disagree. Then again I first became a Sonic fan around 2001 where the Modern Age of Sonic was really getting going xP So I don't hold as much nostalgia to say that some things in the 90s will always be better then the stuff that came after. For me Sonic games even if the game is bad tended to have some great music. The only exceptions were Shadow the Hedgehog in most of the level music and Sonic Chronicles.

I'm more interested in hearing the soundtracks from Sonic Adventure in Smash Bros Wii U/3DS and Knuckles is my most wanted second rep from SEGA.

It isn't nostalgia. Sonic guitar-based tracks with lyrics are simply out of place in Smash Bros. Remember how embarrassing the Metroid songs with voiceovers were in Brawl? I really think the only people who want to hear these songs are the post-millenial Sonic fans, and frankly Super Smash Bros. is not a game made for them. It is a game for Nintendo fans, and people who appreciate gaming history in general. You can hold bias and argue that the multiplatform Sonic games of the sixth generation and beyond were actually landmark titles equivalent to the Genesis games. But everyone I know would just laugh at that statement. Think about the bigger picture. A good majority of people playing Super Smash Bros. absolutely do not want to hear these songs. You are lucky the Sonic Heroes song even made it into that trailer. Sega probably forced Nintendo to do that.

I don't they're any out of place more then the Wii Channel/Swapnote/Mii game music used in the Pictochat stage in Brawl :p

I'd never argue that the multiplatform games were as much as a landmark like the Genesis games were. As I do admit the Genesis games is what made Sonic legendary. However I grew up with the modern Sonic games and I'd really like hearing music from the games I grew up with. That included Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes. And it's not like I'm only pointing to the Crush 40 songs, those are not the only thing I'm saying that I'd love to see in a Smash Bros. game. They also had great level music themselves.

I'm sure the Sonic representation of the soundtrack will be pretty fair. With plenty of classics both original and perhaps remixed a bit (Even if it's ripped straight off from Sonic Generation's remixes) and also plenty of favorite tracks from SA1 and beyond.

What I expect the most from Sonic is an epic boss battle.

I don't care if it's Robotnik or Metal Sonic, but please make it happen!

I wouldn't mind going Back 2 Back to Water Palace from Sonic Rush / Generations 3DS for Smash 3DS.

Musically, I'd like to see this song get a little love just this once. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHz3mB5IuNk
It's so much better than its big brother Right There, Ride On.

I just remembered an idea that I had for an Assist Trophy!

I want Silver the Hedgehog to be an Assist Trophy! He can go around walking around the stage with his psychic powers and when he grabs an opponent, he screams "IT'S NO USE!" and flings them off the stage!

Shadow should be a melee item. You hit people with him and that character gets more and more angsty until it gets too much to bare and they off themselves.

THIS IS GENIUS! XD

All joking aside, I would really want to see Eggman AS A BOSS ONLY. He has so much boss potential and honestly, I'd love to kick his butt with the Wii Fit Trainer or Kirby or MEGAMAN. (Duh.)

...Metal Sonic could be a boss, too.

For another character, I'd like to see either Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, or Blaze.

Music...all of the Sonic themes are just too good. My only requests would be Escape from the City Classic Remix, Endless Possibilities, and Reach for the Stars. Oh, and some Sonic Lost World tunes would be nice. (I guess Windy Hill is kinda confirmed with the stage, right?)

We already have the Windy Hill Stage.(Kinda. Could be just a revamped Green Hill) Ya know, Eggman's Intergalactic Amusement Park could be a stage...And I think Seaside Hill has a good chance of appearing. SEGA LOVES SEASIDE HILL.

And...that's it, I guess...

Mari out! XD
