Why did you bump an old thread that's already been answered..?Sonic UpB is a spring, its just that the spring stay on the ground for short moment so other players can use it.
The ring is more for speed than a homing attack.I'm thinking that Sonic's item should be a ring, that when you grab it, you can do a homing attack on the fighter nearest to you.

Not if there were like lines of them on Sonic's levels (like the Sonic 2 bonus levels) or a party ball opened and showered you with 20 of them.1%? That seems a bit underwhelming.
