Something interesting about Lucas' moveset.

Here's something I'd like to add about Lucas' moveset under my opinions:

1. He is Ness' successor. Normally, one would assume he would have all of Ness' moves. However, from the looks of it, Lucas may be half Ness and half new stuff. This explains PK Freeze and Starstorm being used by him.

2. His lack of PK Love is due to Claus using it. Presumably, no character will have the same final smash.

Lucas doesn't have the gaddam bat!! That and the Yo yo need to be in as a lone character, if Sakurai thinks he's going to get away with removing Ness >,<

The bat can stay, but the yo-yo needs to go.

Although somewhat unrelated I desperately hope for another earthbound character. I hope for Ness to return with a less PSI based moveset and more of an Item based one (bats,yo-yos, slingshot, ruler, eraser etc.)

Whoa there I believe your jumping into conclusions way too fast there has only been screenshots and a I dunno 4-6 second part of him int he fall 2007 trailer. There is no possible way of knowing which attacks are good and which ones are not. You cannot tell through screen shots whether or not Lucas is a powerhouse or not... and "the same"? no way there will be new, or improved physics and nerfs and buffs to these attacks... (remember the yo yo thing anybody?" I agree upon the "overall upgrade" Sakurai and his team is sure to have realized the perks to Ness in melee. I agree that there are obvious differences. Did you see the size of the PK Fire after shock in the screenshot?

I agree with you, all I can really go off is the screenshots I saw from the Smash Bros. Dojo. His PK fire looks quite a bit more effective and easier to hit with than Ness's though Ness had the advantage of his foes below him with his. I just think that Lucas looks like a decent fighter as well as a strong mage, more balanced than Ness in my opinion but I'ma have to really play him to see the true differences in style.

Yes indeed but did anyone else also notice the difference in the size of the PK Fire from the screen shots? (PK Fire in Space technically impossible because that space has no oxygen... but that only proves how awesome Lucas will be)

All his PSI belong to Kumatora.
Lucas is more recent and is essentially an evolved Ness.

As said earlier, Lucas is an evolved form of Ness. It'd be like having Ninten and Ness.

I dont really see anything wrong with having ness AND lucas in brawl,there personalities are diffrent and there moves would most likely be diffrent,alot of people would actually prefer both ness and lucas in brawl lol one a japan only and one also from U.S ect.,bsides would it really bother u THAT much?

His special moves are actually pretty much the same thing cept for flash/ freeze and the directional sheild... but his normal moves/ grabs/ and smash are different but still... it will be horrible if there where special move clone characters

no no im saying that they should rework ness and give him moves from his own games that he actually used not paula's move i.e. psi rock'in,teleport,his sling shot ect.

(still conflicting between PK Fl and PK Fr) Lets say the new tether recovery. I mean come on who hasnt had troubles recovering with Ness. Remember the "you can still fight after some up B's" that would be a huge hit if Lucas can tether recover after PK Thunder.... ya now

yea yea I have no problem with lucas being in brawl and he does seem like a kool character,but I prefer ness over him,and yea he has had some improvment with the fire but the FL and FR is a matter of opinion really,some people prefer knockback over freeze or vice-verca,but...his V B was nerfed,aslong as ness is playable in SOME way I'd be more than happy heck even if he was an alt I'd be perfectly fine with that,I'd just hate to see any character get cut or replaced especially one of the original 12

If anybody from the new Mother series is coming then it would have to be Lucas and Klaus...
