I was just curious as to what kinds of songs people like to put on their stages?

To be honest I like a lot of techno and melodic-ish music because it makes me feel more focused than the derpy music in the game.

I'm not asking for BRSTMs, just what songs people like on their levels.

Depends on the pack I compile. Usually go for a specific theme for a pack and fill extra stages with fitting music.

For my builds I usually I go for the more epic boss battle-ish tracks for FD and BF, lighter tracks for Smashville, stuff that kinda has that Fountain of Dreams calm orchestral sound to Fountain.

As far as much have tracks, I'd add Dirty Kirby to Dreamland, The Accursed Seal and/or SSH's Bloody Tears to Dracula's Castle, and Ballad of the Goddess for Skyloft.

Boss battle music works superbly. I threw DDD and O2 over dreamland and never looked back.

Timesplitters has some outrageous tracks that fit many many stages though.

-Ice Station
-Planet X etc.

Probably my favorite pairing of music and stage is Battle against Metroid Prime's Core/Essence/Head on Final Destination.

Boss music in general is good.

I'm a big fan of violin battle music, so a few tracks from Y's really do it for me. Most notably being Vacant Interference and Innocent Primeval Breaker. I use the first on Battlefield, and the second on Pokemon Stadium 2 myself.

I also really like Dark Pit's Theme from Kid Icarus Uprising. I'd put it on any stage where you would want to invoke the feeling of a classic Mexican standoff/gunfight, though I used it for Skyworld.

I can see that, but it's not like they're selling the game, or anything relating to the game itself (other than maybe a t-shirt or two). I just wish that song was still there, I adored that theme, honestly I'm just a sucker for orchestral themes; and even though that was one of the many orchestral songs from Nintendo, it was unarguably one of my favorites.
