I saw a good bit of full hop Dairs and a couple upsmashes that were very uncalled for...

Try and alternate SH Nair and FH Dair... and lighten up with the Fairs... they aren't THAT great.

If you and your opponent are both on the ground and he isn't rolling then you should be using the stick if any smash.

Against Ness/GaW/Lucas you have to play so radically different though.

If Fair is hitting, I'll use it. Also, I sometimes catch him in those when he misjudges an aerial approach.

Thanks for the criticism. The 2nd vid is probably the best showcase of my Lucas.

you are getting spiked to much, that shouldn't happen
Dude, this guy is a fuggin' expert at spiking. Give me that at the very least. I do usually avoid it, though since it's friendlies, I'm trying something new. Obviously, it didn't work.

Also, got anything else other than that little tidbit?

Not bad - Need more recovery options, try magnet pulling and more ropesnake when possible, pkt2 is easily gimped. You're close recovery was predictable, most times you seemed to go for dair whilst getting back, which your opponent read and dealt with. Mix it up, sometimes its better to excercise caution, recovery defensively with air dodges etc.

EDIT: Idk why you were spamming f smash between stocks you're just wearing it out, something to watch. Stoopid comment ignore.

Try to avoid short hopping dair, there's a lot of landing lag. Also try to work in some edgehogging, you had some opportunities and Ness is easy to take the edge from.

I think that you should avoid the dash attack as much as possible, its just not that great and is reall easy to punish. I personally try never to use it at all unless you are 100% sure it will hit, and generally in that situation you have better options anyway.

I think the third vid was the best example of your Lucas, and overall you seem to be a pretty decent player. Sorry if my criticisms sound condescending or rude or anything, its just my two cents :p

I usually do ropesnake, but Camaman is notorious for spiking me before I can reach the ledge like that. I predict him coming over, and PKT2 before that. It ends up being a bit safer that way, since he always comes to me first. I have to change my normal playstyle to reach the ledge when playing against him.

Also, attacks only degrade in power if they actually hit. The Dash Attacks are usually meant to be Ftilts. And yeah, Dash Attack does get punished a lot.

Never tried Air Dodged during jumps. Should test that out more.

Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it.

what i meant is that Lucas is not that easy to spike, he has a really good airdodge, use zap jump and you would be higher than Ness' double jump, and the pk fire will make Ness retreat. If you are playing a happy spiking guy, you can aim you pkt2 from far away directly to the edge or the stage. Mix your recoveries
is ok if you like to use the usmash, but save it and use it when you are sure it will get the stock
more nair, less fair, remember that if you want to combo the nair with a tilt, you have to avoid hitting with the last hit, to do that, fast fall or move a little to the side (FF is better and lets you combo it into another nair)
as for the Ness match uo, don't stop his PKT2 with an attack shield it or perfect shield, wait a little to see where did he end and then punish
