Some dumb roleplay thread, I guess (Warning, it's not dumb)

Yeah, it's also my guess they just didn't want to bother animating him to save on money which is bull given this is Disney, they have that to spare. Also a shame since it also makes it unlikely 625 is ever going to reappear shall they do a continuation given his relationship to Gantu and I love 625 myself.

Also what you mean there's a Mulan sequel? They never made a sequel to the animated movie, you silly And yeah it's funny how they did that but still decided to make live-action Mulan a magical martial artist aided by a phoenix anyway so really why.

And given how successful the Lilo & Stitch franchise is in general, the movie will likely spawn at least one sequel or something along those lines. I'd hope Gantu would show up then instead but they'd have to figure out another way to introduce him to the storyline and give him a personal grudge with Stich and the Pelekai family since he's not a part of the core conflict in the film.

Despite his absence, though, part of me's hoping we see a hint of other Experiments in the film's ending, whether it's full characters like Reuben, Angel or Sparky or just some the Experiment Pods, I think it'd be cool to see them or least a clue to their existence in live-action. With that said, I'll probably just read up about the film after it premieres to find out whether or not characters like Gantu, Hamsterviel or the existence of the other Experiments get teased or not. Gantu being cut from the remake honestly killed whatever interest I had left in seeing the film.

I think that, ironically, in Disney's efforts to try and make a more "faithful" adaptation fo the original story of Mulan, they somehow not only largely failed to make it more accurate to the original written story, but also ultimately made a far weaker film than their earlier and very different adaptation of it.

-At this rate, none of the three think it's weird for someone being able to digest chalk and eat it like normal given Susie isn't human, so Nanoha, Fate and Hayate nodded at the example-

Well, I consider him more of an abomination considering that my people are known as monsters, but there aren't any species in Hyrule that are called "monsters" outside of Ganondorf's followers and some naturally evil creatures made of magic, so I get what ya mean.

-And indeed, while both Alphys and Moana expected Rollout to do decent damage with Burrito having used Defense Curl to boost the the attack's power, the Milotic still receives more damage from than either of them anticipated or would be standard for a currently lower level Pokemon-

(It's worth the time the character needs a really specific color that matches them, imo. At this point I mostly use different text colors for Pokemon and, since they're among my first ever characters In introduced to the roleplay, the Undertale cast, and that's become more and more necessary the more Pokemon I've introduced lol.)

These great monsters may have faded into memory in many worlds...but some of them have never perished.

A lot of us might match the part about looking monstrous, but we're sure as hell not the kind of inherently evil creatures humans who got told about in fairy tales or scary stories growing up. Those stories sound more along the lines of creatures like the demons who work for Ganondorf or the Grimm from Remnant...

It's just a matter of preference between roleplayers on what they want to use when typing, like when the WarGrowlmon/MegaloGrowmon appeared or VenomMyotismon/VenomVamdemon.)

That is true, at most I can think something like him already being a thug by Hamsterviel, but still wuldn't be nearly as effective.

Makes sense, I really don't feel like giving any penny to the live-action remakes myself, so that's what I usually do.

All to appeal to Chinese audiences who didn't like the original film... And it still failed to do that.

That is true, at most I can think something like him already being a thug by Hamsterviel, but still wuldn't be nearly as effective.

Makes sense, I really don't feel like giving any penny to the live-action remakes myself, so that's what I usually do.

All to appeal to Chinese audiences who didn't like the original film... And it still failed to do that.

Not without any background connection to the main characters. Or being shown as the Captain of the Galactic Armada's fleet first before his downfall into villainy.

I can't remember the last time my family and I watched one. It might've been Beauty and the Beast, which for what it's worth I think was at least decent compared to most of the ones that followed it.

And yet most of them other than maybe Snow White have still made money. Disney's probably going to keep making the live-actions until they stop being profitable, even if few of the live-action/photo-realistic remakes in question fail to spawn any spin-offs or sequels.

Overall it's a waste regardless of what direction they'll go with, a big shame.

And yeah, that's the thing, people online always call out how bad the remakes are, but general audiences don't care, so the vast majority still make money. Heck, I'm sure Mulan would have done much better was it not for the pandemic.

I also appreciate that the team who worked on Mufasa added Kiara to the film. She's the first character from a Disney direct-to-video sequel to appear in a live-action remake, a Disney canon film, and multiple major spin-off and projects (unless you count Sparky from Stitch! The Movie). She's also one of my favorite Lion King characters in general. so seeing her make an appearance in such a major and big budget film is something I'm honestly quite glad about.

tbf I do agree that The Lion King did get some of the better treatment when it came to the 2000s direct-to-video sequels along Lilo & Stitch, like I used to rewatch all the movies of the latter all the time even if I could tell Stitch: The Movie was just a pilot for the series, so I get you there.

Maybe he could show up during the current arc or the vacation one?

It's a flawed show that's definitely geared towards a younger audience, but gets into some surprisingly dark themes at times that few other Disney Junior shows would ever venture into. Some episodes even get TV-Y7 ratings because of it. It also teaches some genuinely good lessons at times and has a likeable ensemble cast of characters. Plus, Kiara, Kovu, Vitani, Nuka and Zira returning is always welcome in my book.

And yeah, I don't get why House of Mouse isn't on Disney+. I can't really imagine it's due to copyright stuff since virtually all of their characters that appear in it are owned by Disney themselves.

It's a flawed show that's definitely geared towards a younger audience, but gets into some surprisingly dark themes at times that few other Disney Junior shows would ever venture into. Some episodes even get TV-Y7 ratings because of it. It also teaches some genuinely good lessons at times and has a likeable ensemble cast of characters. Plus, Kiara, Kovu, Vitani, Nuka and Zira returning is always welcome in my book.

And yeah, I don't get why House of Mouse isn't on Disney+. I can't really imagine it's due to copyright stuff since virtually all of their characters that appear in it are owned by Disney themselves.

The army the False Goddess has aligned herself may be pitiful creatures, but they are not easily tricked. They would see through the efforts of creature such as herself trying to manipulat ethem into believing she wishes to align with them. The only other creature of similar power they once housed was one they spared merely in order to keep a close eye on him, a matter of convenience for both parties as their enemy wished to survive, while Chaldea knew his powers were of use to them.

If you are wrong, then Sothis was not among these ancient monsters. The Primordials are incapable of compassion, their very nature ensure they care only for their own preservation and the destruction and chaos they sow.

Fair enough in both cases. I do think it'd make sense for Aquamarine and hte Decepticons to launch attack shortly after or towards the end of the vacation arc, however. Kind of a callback to when the Decepticons and Aquamarine and Topaz themselves invaded Basel and Beach City respectively just as Chaldea's last major vacation was ending.
