He was too nice! Literally! Back then, he was so averse to actually seriously injuring anyone or killing literally anything that had he actually joined the Royal Guard, he would've been torn to little smiling shreds by the first real enemy he encountered! He's gotten a little wiser and more realistic since then, but back then there was no way to convince him to avoid mercy even when it was clear there'd be no other option. That's actually why he got into cooking and making spaghetti in specific. I figured he'd just be in danger if I actually let him join the Royal Guard, so I tried to persuade him and help him in another field he was passionate about that was safer.

...Unlike with combat, though, he uh, kinda had to learn how to cook on his own. At least without destroying the kitchen or making undercooked spaghetti.

-Weiss is proven correct about the mask and Ivy's claims about it are validated a few seconds later as Ivy not only blindly runs into a scarecrow, but doesn't realize that she didn't bump into a real person as she looks up at the scarecrow and apologizes to it by saying "Sorry, sir!" as she gets up, before cheerfully laughing again as she continues to head back home again-

It took me a while to realize most of them. Heck, even as a kid, I was kinda dumb and hot headed. One day, when the King of the Underground visited my class, I thought I could prove I was the strongest monster around by beating him a fight, so I just bolted after him and tried to attack him. All he did was dodge my attacks left and right. He never struck back or blocked an attack once, and I STILL couldn't land any hits on him!

-these humans Sothis spoke of truly are some malevolent beings... Steven's own positive attitude makes it hard for him to think they should be killed for it and yet, he has a feeling his Huntress friend Ruby wouldn't really shed tears over people like that in spite of her own positive (yet realistic) views?-

-Needless to say, Steven and Connie were utterly horrified seeing these painting and the historical events and atrocities these ancient humans of Fodlan committed. And while Steven still doesn't agree with killing being the right solution...he did consider what Ruby and Mash's opinions of these cruel and ruthless people would be, and that, while neither of them generally like to kill, either, they most likely wouldn't even remotely hesitate to kill any of the people Sothis truly detested since by all accounts, they were the ones who were cruel and merciless to most of the good ones who remained and seemed to be dangerous to not at least be detained-

Steven: "...Th-These people...th-they're no better than Yellow Diamond or all the scientists who were working on creating Gem mutants or the Cluster! Some of the might even be worse! A few seconds later, the same thing happens to her other arms, and her head also turns larger and gains a werewolf-like appearance, with the addition of two large tusk-like fangs on her lower jaw, two ram-like horns on her head, and a draconic tail instead of her a wolf-like one, all while howling at the moon-

-...Oddly enough, but more so thankfully, Polly's mind and personality turn out to not be affected by the curse, as all she says afterwards is an utterly confused "What the...?" while looking at her werewolf arms and draconic tail, then casually remarks "Eh, works for me!", apparently just being glad that she's able to look scary-

Despite her demeanor sounding no different than normal, Anne, Sprig and Hopediah all scream upon seeing her, and the sounds of crashing and plates breaking can be heard from either a fight or them or, given the apparent lack of any change to her mind, just trying to avoid Polly just because she physically turned into a monster, as Hopediah shouts "Nightmares are real!" Sprig shouts "Not a holiday!" and a worried Anne agrees "Definitely not a holiday!" All three of them then scream in terror as the show zooms out on a distance shot of their house and farm, and the episode ends with the three monsters from each of their stories, Screen Fiend, Mr. Littlepot, and the Seamstress, appearing in a close-up on the screen laughing sinisterly while looking at the audience, as well as two of the frog skins on the Seamstress' outfit briefly springing to life to make ghost sounds-
