Comment: Albeit referred as a “gap yokai” she is a one-of-a-kind being, whose abilities makes many of Gensokyo’s inhabitants try to keep a distance from her. Despite this, she doesn’t likes to attack others unless necessary.
Yokai of Boundaries. All traces to the origin of of the self-named Yukari Yakumo are unknown, records going as far as 1200 years ago as one of the creators of the region of Gensokyo, a location where mythical beings would live in relative peace outside from the human world, even with human inhabitants around. What little is known is that since then, she has maintained a close relationship with the Hakurei family line of shrine maidens, helping them preserve the boundaries of the barrier that separates Gensokyo from the world, watching over incidents ocurring in her homeworld.
Yukari’s power is the manipulation of boundaries, fundamentally undermining reality, able to create gaps between anything that has a border; esentially everything: Life and death, humans and youkai, day and night. An ability mostly manifested in the use of gaps to transport herself to places. Becoming acquaintanced with an endless account of youkai, gods and other beings, despite this and known to act for the greater good, no one is sure for the true motivations or character of this yokai.
There is no wish known from her, if there is one to begin with.

Double Black Death Butterfly: Rank A. A spell card that shoots butterflies, that in the words of those affected, are incredibly annoying.

The culmination of all of Yukari’s power and use of her spell cards. Like many residents of Gensokyo, Yukari has been able to master the art of “bullet hell” that allows her to create multiple barriers that dispatch numerous projectiles. Combined with her abilities over boundaries, and the aid of her shikigami Ran and Chen, Yukari proves to be one of the most powerful beings in all of Gensokyo, matching gods and oni. It is not impossible to defeat her, but those that have tried frequently fail.
Manji-Parasol of Yakumo: Rank A, Barrier type.
Yukari’s trusted parasol that she is seen carrying frequently. It’s normally just that, a parasol with nothing special on it. However, when infused with the power of a spell card, it becomes both a protective shield that can protect her from strong anti-unit attacks and weak anti-army ones, as well as becoming a magical projectile that she can throw as a spinning wheel to harm her opponent.
Abandoned Line, Aimless Journey to the Abandoned Station: Rank A, Anti-Unit type.
An interesting use of Yukari’s power over boundaries that qualifies her for the Rider class. In simple terms, she opens a gap from which an abandoned railed bullet train comes from at full speed to mow her opponents down. It’s unknown where this train comes from, or how she even got possession over it, but it has caused many inhabitants of Gensokyo who dare face her to open their jaws before being hit. She can summon more of those in an attack called
Unmanned Abandoned Railroad Car Bomb.

Notes: Despite her prominent role in her homeworld and having a great intellect, she’s very lazy and sleeps most of the day. She has two outfits, a casual attire made of a purple dress, and a more complex dress with Taoism characters representing when she gets serious. She goes to the outside of Gensokyo frequently, and thus is familiarized with technology and modern trends. Albeit having many friends, only people said to fully understand her are Ingrid and the ghost Yuyuko Saigyouji.
