Moon: "That...definitely wouldn't put the overall usage of dark magic in a positive light. But at the same time, that would also be definitive proof that dark magic itself isn't inherently evil, either..."
Shez: "Power is power, and allegiance is a matter of perspective. As good as you think you are, who's to say there's not people painting you as a villain, even without you dabbling in dark magic?"

Shez: "It's the same for a lot of those evil dark mages in Fodlan. They genuinely think they're the good guys."
