was playing legacy of goku 2 again. goku's friends are so scrubby, no wonder they suck
so the cyborgs come to kill goku, everyone is like:

"how is that fair, goku is sick now, can't you wait??"
"don't these cyborgs have any sense of honor and fair-play?"

So I think improving in this game has a lot to do with "mutations," which is when you do something accidentally and then notice that it works, and implement it into your conscious metagame.

As you gain greater tech skill and perform fewer and fewer input errors, the rate at which you perform these accidental victories decreases, slowing the rate at which you learn from them. (fewer input errors/time > fewer mutations/time)

I've been playing online with keyboard, which has vastly increased the number of input errors i make, increasing the number of "mutations" ive been able to implement into my conscious strategy.

I think learning a new input method can really help in learning new spacing/punish strategies, albeit unintentionally.

Thoughts?
You still play?

Pm happened because brawl was a disaster. 64 is bueno. I'd love to see you guys make something though. The interest seems abnormally high

On that timescale the fans are all that exist, so of course. But no one ponders sports teams

I totally agree with the point, yet 'accidental' could be different. It`s hard to pin down, I`m not doing random things, just being aware of all the move options and making choices in realtime that will connect.

I think see what you mean. The mutation argument elucidates the benefit of playing in a more improvisational, experimental manner, rather than a more strictly algorithmic manner.

Just beat Battlecow 3-1 in WF. First time ever. :') Fox is the best character in this game, but I only had to use Falcon to do it.

@ Komotonoto Komotonoto beat Battlecow 3-2 in LF in possibly the most harrowing set I've ever seen. Here are some Battlecow lines from the set:

"No. NO! That move is so ******* stupid. How can you use (yoshi) uptilt 5 times and follow up on it EVERY SINGLE TIME?!"

The TO was trying to clear people out from our room and he asked Battlecow if this was tournament to which Bcow replied:

"This is Loser's Finals. SHUT UP"

komo 3-2'd bcow? For a game where we don't see a whole lot of upsets, that's pretty big. Props to komo.

Not to take away from Komo, props to him, but I don't think think it's an upset. Komo has been a lot more active than Battlecow.

A FL melee player (Gahtzu, wizzy's teammate) said one of the best parts of Zenith was watching Wizzy wreck this guy named battlecow in 64 and watching him rage lol.

Oh and good job Solo and Komo.

falcon > pika > kirby > yoshi > fox > puff > mario > dk > samus > luigi > link > ness
Marlo 2 low. Falcon too high.

To be perfectly honest, the only reason why it took 5 years for Kirby to be considered clear 2nd best by everyone is since no one wanted to use Kirby and no one stalled/air camped perfectly like Moyashi/Kikoshi/ground up tilt camped as much as m2k. The first Kirby who actually played well and as his main in the entire US is Killer.

In all srs though I am really not sure below Mario/Fox and which is better there.

pika > kirby > Fox> yoshi > Mario> puff > dk > samus > luigi > link > ness[/quote]
