I won't lie this video is misleading. I wouldn't really call it a scam, more so a **** deal. And not only kids are purchasing this. I mean, don't get me wrong, this whole situation sucks, but the video is just outright misleading.

yeah but how can you confirm that he's the one charging the price and not the company

we don't even know the courses are, and he refuses to show it

just because a course's time is short doesn't equate to a scam. a lot of smash is practice, and that's probably what a lot of this is. he shows you what to do and you can practice it yourself.

Prices aside, I do think it's a little scummy to charge money for a series of how-to videos that only add up to twelve minutes. There's no way you can fully cover multiple techniques and strategies in twelve minutes.

yeah its definitely BS to buy a tutorial when youtube can just pump out **** for free

i mean ZeRo himself already has plenty of tutorials on his own channel

it's only profiting off of ZeRo from his time playing a game he doesn't even go that hard in anymore

The fact of the matter is that paying for some guide on how to do something that you can watch for free is stupid. You probably know it by now.
It's not much of a scam, it's just unnecessary to pay a video guide when you might as well just buy a guide at a bookstore.

And now he's selling what's already available for free for an up front charge? In addition to his ****ing Patreon in which you pay for all this stuff again?

I just find it weird that people would pay someone to get "good at a game".

Unless you are a deep competitive player, you shouldn't worry about those things.

Games are meant to be fun, not a way to gain respect.

I was watching him stream Banjo-Kazooie, and there was a lot of times he joked about viewers stealing their parent's credit cards to donate, as well as asking for a ton of money to get him to get Jason on the Stream, putting the disclaimer that no matter the reason, it's non-refundable. It was funny the first couple of times, but--it happened quite a lot, and I started wondering if he was being ironic, or actually serious.

But yeah, I agree the video's misleading, as long as Zero's been upfront with it.

Fire Emblem had an OVA and is basically an anime on its own let's be real
Metroid has a manga that's canon to its own games
Donkey Kong kinda had that 90s cartoon?
Pikmin had many animated shorts in the early 2010s

Honestly I'm amazed Dark Horse doesn't seem to be in financial trouble. They seem to keep making wrong moves in an industry that's been gradually shrinking for decades and yet they seem fine?

I think they're able to fall back on all their manga distribution contracts. I own most of Berserk and Neon Genesis Evangelion just because I get them all from warehouse clearances straight from their HQ.

Huh, I forgot about some of these, and was unaware for others.

Unfortunately, a lot of these were Pre-2010s, aside from Zelda, Pikmin and Kirby (and I guess Metroid doesn't really need a continuation), and/or some of these are stuck in unlocalized hell, like Super Mario Kun.
But the 90s DK cartoon had some bomb ass songs though.

Also, did the REALLY skip over Wind Waker with the Zelda Manga? Why?

This is so much funnier than it has any right to be.

Our channel is going to need to monetize soon so I can get my own recording equipment and doing it in a way that doesn't feel scummy is surprisingly difficult.
