Yes, I’d love to see it! I’d love to see what you come up with.
sorry i'm late, i was asleep

but yes post mahvel
sorry I’m late on this. But I had to go to sleep.

So the way I designed the game is a little.... unconventional... but it's all in the service of making it a realizable product.... to some degree.

For my Marvel vs. Capcom 5 concept, the game will be released in 3 waves. The first wave would cost $30 and gets you every veteran on the base game's roster as well as arcade mode, vs. mode, and online play. The intent is basically to create a base and then build three games worth of content in one package, released over long stretches of time. Likely lasting the entirety of a console's life. The idea is a little outlandish, but I think would work as a marketing gimmick, giving people the idea that they're getting a massive amount of content for their money and driving more sales of the product. The continuous content releases would also help keep up interest and keep people buying. Every few months for a period of a year to 2 or 3 you get a chance to convince someone knew to buy your product. At least, that's how I would pitch it... I could just get laughed out of the room... but whatever.

The game features a groove system similar to the Capcom vs. SNK games. You can choose The system of tagging from UmvC3 or MvCI, both with three characters this time. The Infinity Gems are included in a separate vs. mode as well as something else we will talk about later. Each character has a normal costume representative of their current modern design, and a "retro" costume which returns them to their classic appearance. This is true for every character, even the ones released after the base pack launches. This means Wings and weird headdresses for the likes of Captain America and Hawkeye. While for Capcom it can be anything from Ryu sporting his Street Fighter 1 look to Mega Man in a costume reminiscent of the North American box art. The characters included are
Marvel
  1. Iron Man
  2. The Hulk
  3. Thor
  4. Captain America
  5. Dr. Strange
  6. Spider-Man
  7. Venom
  8. Black Panther
  9. Captain Marvel
  10. Storm
  11. Wolverine
  12. Magneto
  13. Deadpool
  14. Dr. Doom
  15. Ultron
  16. Thanos
  17. Rocket Raccoon
Capcom
  1. Mega Man
  2. Sigma
  3. Tron Bonne
  4. Ryu
  5. Chun-Li
  6. M. Bison
  7. Akuma
  8. Mike Haggar
  9. Morrigan Aensland
  10. B.B. Hood
  11. Strider Hiryu
  12. Sir Arthur
  13. Dante
  14. Vergil
  15. Jill Valentine (her MvC2 design and playstyle)
  16. Albert Wesker
  17. Phoenix Wright
After this, there is the second half of the base game. Costing another $30 going up to full standard price. This will give you the rest of the "base game" characters ,i.e. the Newcomers, as well as the cinematic story mode and a revamped version of the Heroes and Heralds mode from 3. They release over time in packs of 2 (one Marvel and one Capcom) and the two modes release after every character is released. The story mode will be penned by actual writers from actual Marvel Comics and is framed as the first time these characters have met each other as they face the multidimensional threat of Abyss. The new heroes and heralds-esque mode is inspired by the Marvel Disk Wars anime. You create an avatar character and can equip them with character discs to decide on gameplay. You have 9 disc slots to use. Three are used for deciding the playable characters on your team that you earn as you travel across an over-world participating in fights. In the same way you can unlock modifier discs based on non-playable characters that effect how your character plays. Each character disc on your team has three spaces to apply discs that modify how that character plays. The additional characters included in this part of the game are
Marvel
  1. The Mandarin
  2. Loki
  3. Gorr the God Butcher
  4. Baron Zemo
  5. Ant-Man and the Wasp
  6. Green Goblin
  7. Mr. Sinister
  8. The Fantastic Four
  9. Namor the Sub-Mariner
  10. Daredevil
  11. Moon Knight
  12. Shang Chi
  13. Crystal
  14. Sersi
  15. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch
  16. The Vision
  17. Spawn
Capcom
  1. Yellow Devil
  2. Zero (Mega Man Zero)
  3. Vile
  4. Gill
  5. G
  6. Poison
  7. Jon Talbain
  8. Nero
  9. Leon S. Kennedy
  10. Simon Blackquill
  11. Lute and Ratha (Monster Hunter Stories)
  12. Asura
  13. Super Ace (1942)
  14. Edward Falcon (Power Stone)
  15. Oda Nobunaga (Sengoku BASARA)
  16. Tessa (Red Earth)
  17. Skullomania (Fighting EX Layer
If you pre-order this second half of the game, you will also receive a pack of 8 additional characters for free that will release after the story and Disk Wars modes. Want and wait to see what you get before you spend your money? Don't fret! The pre-order period only ends after Story Mode and Disk Wars Mode releases, with the characters released beforehand referred to as "early access". I drew Sub-Zero, like I said I would. Went with Deception Sub-Zero since he's a personal favorite of mine.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Not sure what I'll do next, but I'll figure it out.

So I don't know what you guys are like to talk anime right now so I'm mentally prepared to see this buried.

Edit: Whatever. I'll post it later seeing it got buried.

Can people just say they are not interested. I try and make the post as clear and concise as possible but it still happens.

I'm not the only person it happens to either but it can really kill a mood for someone.

God, you’re amazing at this. If this were the game I would play the heckk out of this. The roster is amazing, and it’s got some wacky additions which I’m totally for. Bass.EXE being one of the big ones. I can tell you definitely were going all out when making this. The concept of waves is interesting and I’d love to see it implemented into some sort of actual game. The roster’s additions and releases all seem balanced and incredibly thought out. You really expanded on a lot of things. For example, the Ace Attorney series now has Apollo and Layton (Capcom connection is thru the crossover so i’m considering him a Ace Attorney-ish character). The retro idea is something I absolutely adore, even if it would probably be impossible for some characters, like former president Barack Obama. But overall, it’s very thorough and you did an excellent job in everything.
Apollo kind of sold it for me, but that’s besides the point.

How to Make Seven a Absolute Beast:

Get their fourth skill tree < Get Critical Combo, which allow to always critical hit when you land a double attack < put two Double Attack IV Gems on them & Haste Gem V < Link them to Dunban Skill that allow to heal when you land a critical hit < put gem that weak enemy defense < get other skill that increase haste < enter a battle < use the aura that increase double attack & speed of auto-attack if I'm not mistaken < ??? <
I love this game.

Hey anyone here still play Pokémon Go? I just now got back into it and I was wondering if anyone wanted to friend me and maybe help me with my Pokédex.
Here’s my trainer code: I’ll be sending out presents too since I have a **** ton of those.

I watched Gamexplains Pokémon Snap analysis and a big prediction:

Everything we saw in the trailer is the first level. I say this because we can see a lot of shots connect to previously ones.

Im betting it’s one big world with a psudeo world map.

The trailer used Islands as in plural, so I think we get to see islands with different themes and designs as well as Pokémon.

How does travel work?

Well I’m going to predict you take a underwater level that acts as a bonus mini stage to get to different places. That way most water types that live down deep and don’t surface often can be photographed. Plus the views and graphics are no brainers.

That’s my personal theory right now though probably not right completely but I feel pretty confident that most of the trailer is the first level .

Man, the past couple of episodes of Power rangers have had more care towards the lore and mythology of Power rangers than Megaforce did in 39 episodes.

It's kinda giving me some hopes for Hasbro's work on Power rangers going forward. Maybe well get that S.P.D crossover from Kyuranger if Hasbro brings that series over.

hoo boy

lot to unpack here

i really dig some of your ideas. some of these i wish i had come up with myself lol

although personally i'd already have the game absolutely PACKED at launch. there'd still be dlc mind you, just not this format

that said, this is very ambitious and i commend ya for being this passionate.

also are you telling me i can have barack obama fight thanos and basically simulate the meme culture of the past 2 years
The format was designed to make it more... realizable. And easier on the devs. Not forcing them to pack all this stuff on disc for example. As well as making the idea more appealing to executives as a long term money maker. It’s kind of an extension of capcom’s old re-release strategy in a way.

But overall, I’m glad you like it. I’m really happy with it, even if there are some ideas that I just didn’t have room for (like a playable Yellow Devil).

You have to get creative for some of the retro costumes. Like for example, Obama’s could be his basketball uniform from college. But thank you! I‘m glad you really like it!
