I can't believe that movie came out in 2018, well after people stopped caring for Slenderman.

Man another day, another email from college about the Coronavirus. I'm thinking **** could get a bit worse.

Also visited the big store near where I live and yep, mass panic buying. Toilet roll gone, pasta gone, most canned food has went. Hand sanitizers bought out. I'm wondering where people are getting their news sources from sometimes cause it must be something with big bold clickbait.
I just buy some instant noodles and caramel shortbread and went on my way.

Man I love how folks are treating this like the apocalypse when really coronavirus is just the flu or cold in terms of symptoms but just more contagious and widespread.

Like I get it quarantining is still a priority for economic reasons and to have it die down sooner and getting sick is never an fun experience but more likely then not if you catch it you're more likely not going to die unless your old or have health complications. Its only bad over there in China due to bad medical care and how populated they are, more the reason to not let it get to India and Africa otherwise the longer it'll take for this virus to die down.

Schools and big public events are cancelled in Japan to try and prevent it from spreading further, there's no real cure found yet, it's not like measles where your immune system prevents you from getting it again, it's a global panic with misinformation spreading like wildfire which is also causing a ****ton of racism against Asians due to people not knowing how this **** works and again, it'll likely spread like wildfire in the US due to culture there punishing sick days and doctor visits. Telling people not to worry about something this big with a **** ton of confirmed cases, such as the Netherlands going from 1 to 83 cases in a week or worse, Japan with over 900 cases, isn't helping nor are you comforting anyone.

You know, regardless of your intentions, "only elderly people and people with weak immunity systems die from this" implies that those people are expendable.

How about you lock yourself inside your house, not being allowed to exit the house to get groceries, not being able to get medicine, not being able to go to the doctor, not being able to do anything really, not even walking a dog. Do I think it's a little overblown? Depending on the news source.
Would I screwed if I got it? Yes with my health issues. Won't die but will probably be in the hospital for a while meaning very pissed off family.
Would I want to be quarantined? Hell no. And seeing stuff in China is borderline frightening along with other things to make say nope to all this.

I think it will get a bit worse but I'm more interested in seeing the political ramifications if any if this does get far worse. Might risk a can of worms with this.

My issue is how it's treated as a nonissue despite nearly 20 people dying from it in Italy in the span of 2 days, making 107 deaths there alone

Yeah that's worrying and I'm worried about how things over there in East Asia.

I'm also a little worried about my college's contingency plans if it gets to severe. Paranoia in me is thinking forcing everyone use video conferencing to teach class which I can't do whatsoever if it gets that bad.

Nashville just got hit with Corona. What's worse, everyone had to be stockpiled together and sheltered just two days ago for the tornado shelters that absolutely ravaged the north side, meaning that there is a chance of an outbreak, unless it was just a concert-goer.

I gotta drive through Nashville to get home, I'm hoping nothing crazy happens.

I'm not as concerned as most people, but I at least know that the disease is ****ing dangerous. Memphis did get hit too, but it's only a graduate who's being quarantined in Japan, so it's fine for right now. I am pretty concerned if Memphis gets hit, not only because I live there, but because FedEx workers can get hit and **** that'll be very bad since they're the ****ing HQ of worldwide packaging and delivering unless you're a UPS kind of guy

My dorm hall had an incident yesterday where this hillbilly dude was threatening this group of ladies just because they were wearing face masks and were Asian, screaming hell at them. You know some people are headasses if they start off their **** with "Not to be racist, buuuuut-" dude shut up you know you're about to say something racist, saying you don't mean it isn't going to make it not racist. Paranoia and irrational thinking are just as contagious as the actual disease right now.
