You know you are dealing with a great official Mario game when one of the lines is “mushrooms won’t end the pain”.

Mario Odyssey is the best Mario game because it gives me the warm fuzzies.

I love Pokémon because it elicits a warm feeling in my heart that no game even comes close too. Mario Odyssey gave me that feeling.

New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario Maker, I'd say it's better than Mario Kart 8 too.
I wouldn't call NSMBU competition...

Mario Kart 8 though... that's tough. Legit an amazing multiplayer experience that 3D World wishes it has, but 3D World is a much better single player experience and has more content being an adventure platformer.

But I agree that 3D World is the better game, but that'd be like comparing apples to... a peaunt butter and jelly sandwich.

Well, if I have to be serious, Mario Odyssey is that one Mario Game where I got past the first lvl( never beat the tutorial without help in 3D world, Galaxy 1&2, and the WII one)
So it's the one I'm most attached too, IMO. Like, definitely one-of, if not the best, Mario Game, but it just barely misses being the best, if you catch my drift.

I'm not going to pretend I'm ab expert ob Metroid, but why did Samus need his permission? She's a bounty hunter, she doesn't work for him or anything.
Several reasons.

1. Just because she's not a Federation Soldier doesn't mean she's above the organization or protocol. This is their government, not a company. Not only did she take orders constantly from them, but Metroid Prime 3 also showed other Bounty Hunters follow orders.

2. It's one thing to go guns ablazing when you're the only "good guy" on the planet and everything else wants you dead, but it's another when you have close allies in compact, abandoned battleships.

3. Adam Malkovich is kind of a big deal in Samus' life. And no, Other M didn't invent him. He was established in Metroid Fusion which interestingly has the same monologue moments people like to complain about.

But of course, that doesn't explain the need to limit power-ups that pose no threat to other human life, so...... *shrug* :yoshi:

Honestly I like this song so much I couldn’t try to save face and say I like it ironically.

I just love it.
Oh yeah it’s a good song. The band that Did Jabberjaw was called “Pain”, but now goes by the name “Salvo”. I actually started listening to some of the other stuff the band did and it’s also pretty good.

Honestly there was a couple really good songs from the Cartoon Network Groovies.

My favorite Mario is Odyssey. It's actually my favorite video game period.

Why? 'Cause it's fun, and the amount of joy it gives me compared to any other video game I've ever played is unparalleled. Truth be told, I've dreamed of a Mario like Odyssey since I was a kid after experiencing Super Mario 64 for the first time. Odyssey was and still is my dream game.

1.63 million for Pokemon over the course of three years

MonHun 4 on the 3DS by Capcom's account sold 4.1M domestically within 6 months

Why would TPCi invest money in a product that produces less money for more effort, than Masters or Go?
Firstly, I feel you're overlooking a number of differences with that comparison. Monster Hunter 4 and P: SMD are games that are from different franchises, are a mainline and spinoff game respectively, and are in different genres with different appeals. There's quite a few things that the games do not share with each other and thus the comparison isn't really apt. It's like comparing Monster Hunter Stories to Mega Man X, sure there may be similarities, but comparing them only superficially risks missing quite a bit of context in the differences between their sales and why they ended up the way they did.

Secondly, while they may make more money through mobile gaming, that doesn't mean they don't see an appeal in console games. To take an example from another franchise, Granblue Fantasy is a franchise built on mobile gaming and is hugely successful in that sphere to the point that it likely doesn't need to expand further then that app outside of media and merchandise. Yet despite that they have dabbled in console spinoffs, such as Granblue Fantasy Versus. which is coming out next year. The game likely will not make as much money as Granblue Fantasy does on its own, yet Cygames still pursued that spinoff nonetheless, and that's because they saw an appeal in going in that direction then sticking to their bigger mobile venture(s). Pokémon can be the same, no spinoff will likely touch Go, but that doesn't mean there isn't an appeal in exploring other options if they're there. They've already dabbled in it with Pokken and Detective Pikachu, so what's to say Mystery Dungeon can't do the same?

Now, I won't pretend that TCPi doesn't definitely prefers exploring mobile gaming at the current time, but that doesn't mean that the console spinoffs are completely eradicated either. It's more a case of what TCPi wants in their console spinoffs and whether another Mystery Dungeon game would tick off what they're looking for, and if it does then they would likely re-explore it. If there's any spinoffs that can do it that isn't the above mentioned two, Mystery Dungeon is the one with the best shot since it has always been a popular subseries within the franchise and TCPi has gone back to it more then any other spinoffs within it. The appeal is there for TCPi to seize if they want to, and while it wouldn't be as successful as Go or the mainline games, that doesn't mean it wouldn't be successful at all for them.

Edit: Expanded on my point, sorry for the long winded post, but I felt there was a lot more I could say.

few insiders suggesting it's part of capcom's upcoming event and that it's one of the two mystery games they're showing off there

makes me wonder if mystery game 2 is ace attorney 7
I was thinking it might MMX9 or MM12. Given that we know the dude in charge of Mega Man now was already working on a new title. And the Legacy games have sold better than most Mega Man games in general on top of MM11 getting a million and some change. I have a feeling MMZX3 would only happen if the MMZX collection preforms decently.

But AA7 would also make sense. Either way, Capcom is SCHMOOVIN'.

I want a Switch port of SM3DW with Pauline as a playable character.
When's Yoshi though? Nah, seriously. It'd be dope to have him be fully playable outside of SM64DS again. He was only usable in parts of Sunshine and Galaxy 2.
