I have met many people who tend to make replies like thoses to hide many kinds of letdowns.

The new Nether looks lit though. It's always been like the most boring location in the entire game because it's just the same 5 blocks with nothing interesting to do inside of it.

Beat Link's Awakening.

That was definitely a pleasant trip down nostalgia for me. Link's Awakening was one of my first games and one of the first I beat, so I was excited to have a remake come out for it and I immediately pre-ordered and picked it up. For the most part it's a very good remake that gives the QoL updates that it definitely needed (ex. sword being mapped to a button rather then constantly switching it with other items) while still remaining faithful to the original. It still has the same charm it did when I was a kid and every spot and character felt pleasantly familiar. I also did like the dungeon maker feature, I didn't get to use it too much as I stuck mostly to the main story, but it was fun to mess around and bring my own ideas to life. The only thing is I kind of wish was that there was a bit more flexibility with chests since the content seems to be locked to the progression of the player (so for instance the Boss Key will always be last) and you can't change them out of the map, but I guess it was done to prevent unwinnable scenarios.

All in all, it's nostalgia unchanged. A sweet game that brought back pleasant memories while still being a good game in its own right. I may visit it again to 100% it as I'm just missing a few Heart container and shells, but for now I want to play FFVIII since that's a game I've been wanting to play for quite some time.

Sorry for this unpopular opinion but I absolute hate that Spiderman is once again with the MCU. Sorry I just hate it okay, and I absolutely can't stand the MCU version of Spiderman. I'm starting to hate the MCU and that's because of the things I'm constantly seeing in them. The biggest problem though is that everything revolves around Tony Stark. Seriously it seems everything has to connect with him in some way and the biggest offender is Spider-Man. The whole point of Spider-Man was that he was a teenage hero that stands on his own terms where Unlce Ben is the most important person in his life but in the MCU, he's nothing more than Iron Man Jr complete with the cliched nanotech suit that's really getting on my nerves now.

So I’ve gotta ask did you actually watch far from home?

Because both make your opinion kinda of invalid.

The entire point of Far From Home was that Peter isn’t Tony Stark. He’s similar, but he’s his own individual hero and was literally about him learning to stand in his own.

Also what movie besides spider man has iron man as a focus point? Because I honestly have no idea what your talking about. He’s a big part of the MCU but he doesn’t take over everyone’s story. He’s a big part of Peters story because he is an influential figure on peter in the comics. He’s an idol and second father figure to Peter.

Why do you think the kid in Iron Man 2 was changed to be Peter after the movie deal with Sony? Because it’s a big part of Peters character. He grew up in a world with heroes and he grew up idolizing his uncle as well. These two components are the groundwork for him as an hero. His morals, ideals, and beliefs all come from those two parties that influenced him most.

It’s what makes him as strong and capable as he is and why he is so beloved. He embodies everything a hero should be because of his influences.

In the MCU, Tony was basically the good guy version of Norman Osbourne, he was rich, made some past mistakes, but ultimately created the avengers with fury, and changed his life for the better to help the world. Unfortunately and realistically that doesn’t always help people.

That’s what makes the narrative of the Tom Holland movies so strong. Peter learns from Tony’s mistakes and learns what is argue is the most important lesson of all as an hero,

sometimes no matter how much you try to help, you can’t save everyone.

Learning from his idol’s mistakes has made Peter a much better character and hero as a result. This type of narrative is honestly brilliant imo. It makes sense given the characters comic background, but also the mcu background.

Your free to your own opinion, but honestly I really don’t think Sony could pull off as strong of a third film if it wasn’t still in the mcu and if all of what I said wasn’t already allied to Peter.

Tbh, mountains looked ugly, so it needed a visual touch up, and maybe a few unique mobs.

Swamps needed an overhaul completely, the only thing on interest is the witches hut, but that's really disappointing when it comes to things like sunken temples and mansions.

Now, if this also meant better caves that came alongside the mountains, I'll be all for it.


However, the Nether needed it the most, so I'm down with it getting updated.

Hair clip aside, the new character will probably be fine. The only way I'll be disappointed is if we don't have a female character traveling with them. Having at least one girl helps balance out the chemistry.

I wouldn't be opposed to the third-wheel being female this time though. A girl who would be the equivalent of Brock, Cilan, or Clemont.

Turns out 2D mode comes with some battle mechanics changes, notably it uses the old DQ round system where you pick the actions for all your characters at once before the round plays out, which makes a high speed stat more important particularly for the healers (though the AI controlled partners can react to mid-round damage). It also removes the ability to choose a primary target for boomerang and whip attacks, so there's less versatility there. Also while it's not technically a mechanics change there are no indicator of anyone's status effects/buffs/debuffs, so you have to keep track of them yourself. I think a 2D mode run might harder than a 3D mode one, perhaps significantly so, so there's even more difficulty customization there.

Normally I’d say that’s just the devs using debug mode and using that area just for that scene

There's not much reason to keep a mode under the wraps for months while simultaneously using it repeatedly for trailers.

Nuts and Bolts definitely has one big thing in common with past Banjo games and collect-a-thons in general. Only a certain number of the challenges are actually enjoyable, especially in late game.

Thoughts on Minecon:

• Disappointed that Swamps lost and now we have to wait a long time for them since they seem to just be very slowly adding each biome’s features. I like the Mountains too, though, so they should still be fun.
• Minecon actually felt much better this year and didn’t lean so much on the small children side, feeling like something for all ages mostly. Thank you Mojang...Microsoft...whoever sets these up!
• During the quiz show...the noteblock clock they used had a SICK beat. I need it.
• I LOVE that they’re revisiting the pigman concept; originally Pigmen were maybe going to be villagers until we got the caveman Squidwards everyone knows, and it seems they may be similar now; just angrier. I also love the Nether update as a whole.
• I’m interested in the update they teased but never showed off, “Builders & Biomes.” What could it be...? ...CAVE UPDATE?!?!?! EDIT: lol no it’s just a board game, I feel dumb. I heard them say board game but I wasn’t paying enough attention to know they were referring to that.
• I love that they’re adding emotes to Minecraft. Not only are they awesome, all the jerks trying to gatekeep Steve from Smash can keep making themselves look even more selfish and like fools (since Steve and Alex actually did have some character beforehand including in some official animations; there’s also the June-August 2016 issue of the Lego Club magazine; not to mention it’s a frickin videogame). Still annoyed that some people are using that awful 4chan render to hurt/annoy Steve fans as well...it’s just being used to make Steve fans look bad; one guy even replied to me with “seething” and another pic of the render; I did say “Stop this now” but c’mon, y’know? I’m sure he could tell I’m a Steve fan from my profile pic. also, some guy called Steve fans entitled, while acting more entitled himself; never change, bad side of the Smash community.
• Minecraft Dungeons looks good.
• Minecraft Earth may actually make me go outside in my abundance of free time.
• I like the new Target and Honey blocks.

While going through my files, I actually found old art of mine, including doodles I did in school from ~2008. So weird seeing stuff you made 10 years ago again. In addition to that, also old sprites from around the same timeframe and even Swapnote drawings from 2011. Sure makes me feel nostalgic, even if the stuff is slightly embarrassing to look at now.
