With this newfound power, I’m tempted to animate this clip one if my friends made.

I spent more time on SNES Online with ALTTP alone than I did with any game on NES Online.

Huh.
Hopefully you love Super Metroid too!

That game, the Prime Trilogy and Samus Returns were the ones that made me the Metroid fan who I am today.

Interesting that puyo puyo is on SNES online without any translation, I don't think they've done that before

So today, my mom took me and my sister to Lizard's Thicket along with her grandmom for a special breakfast. It was a good meal that tasted purely delicious, though I got extremely chilled from the room tempurature.

They needed to dump something on there to get people ready for Arle Nadja's Smash announcement.

Seriously though.

I can’t read a thing aside from difficulty and I still like it.

Except the second stage is frickin stupid even on Easy Mode, yet the first stage is as you would expect on Easy.

Guys, this Lancer rig is SO GOOD. It has facial controls and everything.

It even comes with Handsome Lancer.

EDIT: HE EVEN COMES WITH THE MOUSTACHE

If you have Amazon Prime you can use it to get Twitch Prime, and then get a free year of NSO. The period to claim the first three months ends on the 24th of this month, after which you get an entire year.
Oh. I didn't know that was still a thing.

gonna be honest i dont think we'll be getting any tekken or virtua fighter reps

we'll get their mii costumes in terry's release and sakura will probably point out how all the big japanese old school fighters are finally together and that will be the end of it

Maybe Sakurai should take a page from the DQ playbook and licence 3 other FF characters from other games so we can get more music
It would be much harder with Final Fantasy characters. Erdrick, Solo and Eight managed to get in because they could share the same moveset with Eleven, thus being able to save plenty of time with just one moveset rather than 4 different movesets and it would fit still as all of them use a Sword and Shield and whatnot.
With Final Fantasy characters, not so much, especially after Dissidia gave them all their own movesets. Sure, in their own games, some of them do/can use the same weapon types. But I don't think fans would let it slide for Final Fantasy characters compared to the Dragon Quest heroes.

Another problem with the Final Fantasy series is that each game needs to be licensed on their own, unlike with DQ where all share a same license.

So the Smash team would need to not just get the FF7 license for spirits, but then the FF6 license for Kefka and the stuff he comes with, FF8 for Squall with the same deal, FF12 for Lightning and so on...

It would be way harder than licensing series such as Crono Trigger or Bravely, doh it could be possible to expand the current FF7 contract by adding picks such as Sephiroth.

I could definitely see Sephiroth and Tifa added in at some point, as those two are up there with Cloud in popularity and are just as iconic.

I'm going to take a shot and guess what Terry's special moves will be in Smash

Neutral- Power Wave
Forward- Burn Knuckle
Up- Power Dunk
Down- Crack Shoot
Final- Buster Wolf

Think that sounds right?
Rising Tackle would probably be better for Up-Special, but Power Dunk could work too, Kind of like Incineroar's though.

But Crack Shoot, Burn Knuckle and Power Wave are perfect. Since those are moves he's had in every moveset, he needs to keep them, preferably as specials. Which is why Rising Tackle might be a bit better for his Up-Special, since Terry's had that in more games than Power Dunk.

Certain moves like Fire Kick would be a great Up-Smash though.

Yeah, they are picks who make a lot of sense.

And their inclussion would be enough to finally give the FF7 content people feel is missing such as spirits or music.

According to a person close to me on Discord who is deeply experienced about Square Enix as a whole, the reason we got a repeat of the stuff we got with Cloud in Smash 4 is the fact Nintendo and the Smash team had to basically repeat the contract done in Smash 4 which didn’t allow for more stuff.

Adding someone such as Sephiroth however could make the contract change and give us more music and spirits.

I mean, I'm not even experienced with Square Enix and I could've told you as such.

It's way easier to negotiate for an extension of a contract than to negotiate a new one.

Giving Lancer a much more complex rig that will work really well with animations! Who should I port next?
