Well, like I said, they actualy tried before but gave up half way (guess cre fans ware vocal enough), and because of that attempt people might think of DOA as something more than **** simulator from now on, so I would welcome them trying to go all the way next time.

But that's their main problem. Sure, being taken more seriously does have it's perks. But once again, that's not really their audience, intentional or not. So is it that much better to lose an already loyal audience, only to go for one that may not even take you in?

Are you talking about a the Rap? I know some that like it and some that don't. I personally like it, cause it reminds me a bit of Persona 3's rap music.

But that's their main problem. Sure, being taken more seriously does have it's perks. But once again, that's not really their audience, intentional or not. So is it that much better to lose an already loyal audience, only to go for one that may not even take you in?

I mean DOA all things considered has a pretty small community when compared to something "serious" like Tekken or Virtua Fighter (which characters of actually appear in DOA 5 as sort of cross-promotion), so the audience for over the top 3D fighting games with Ninja's is there, and most of the fans would bleed over anyway.

Its actually funny since there is a DOA tournament thats going to happen, hosted by the fans of the series that has a soft ban on all the "sexy" costumes in hopes of legitimising the series in the public eyes, so yea, even the community is getting bored and wants them to move on.

Who is the Final Fantasy XV composer? Yoko Shimomura. What other game as she worked on? Why, the original Xenoblade, no less!

Seriously, I've listened to the XCX rap battle theme and I don't think it's that bad. Could be better, I agree, but I've heard much worse and much cheesier.

Oh, and mind that rap is one of my least favorite music genres.
