In favor of bigger overall audience/better image/more serious tournament scene? Then again, taking away the series identity in favor of sales and popularity is never a good idea... unless your identity rosolves entirely around totally 18 girls with giant bouncing breasts (with adjustable physics MIGHT I ADD) doing suggestive poses in swimsuits. And Ryu Hayabusa. The series wasnt known for having great gameplay untill recently mind you

Why not? The developers dug their own hole, and willingly leaped in it. As long as the other character has the same size as Ridley and does everything like Ridley, then yes.
Well, like I said, they actualy tried before but gave up half way (guess core fans ware vocal enough), and because of that attempt many people now think of DOA as something more than boobs simulator, so I would welcome them trying to go all the way next time.
Perhaps, it would be suitable for me to jinx everyone's day right now.
