Honestly, I do like it. But I still find X1 and X2 to be better. Albeit only slightly so.

Also I think people overreact to the series being on hiatus. It's been getting yearly releases for quite some time, but now Inafune left and is making it's spiritual successor. I think from Capcom's perspective, they'd need to figure out what direction they'll take the series.

That said, I'd be happy to see a new entry. But I can understand why it'd take a while.

True enough. Mega Man X8 probably is one of the most underrated games in the whole franchise. Well, that and maybe Mega Man 6 and 7.

For Mega Man X8, it mostly has to do with following up on the two least popular games in that series, so some of the hype died down.

I used Peach already, I went 5-0 because I play her more than I should...or rather tl;dr I main her because I see her as a roll character to piss a close friend off when I play her.

One of these days, I'd like to see Mega Man X in a fighting game, he's my personal favorite character in the franchise, though Classic Mega Man is a close 2nd. That kid is a damn hero. Zero is a distant 3rd.

Mega Man and Zero have been in a handful of fighters beforehand, and they worked(for the most part). Though I think MMX has just as much to pull from, yet it hasn't been done quite yet it seems.

Speaking of Capcom series, how about that Street Fighter? I haven't played too much of it unfortunately, but I'm interested in it. Charlie looks pretty badass with that new moveset and I hope Dudley makes a return. Too bad I don't have a PS4. Now I can miss out on it AND Tekken 7(which still hasn't shown my ****** Jin Kazama and Raven.)

You know, at this point, it wouldnt even suprise me they kept a thing like that, seeing how basic gameplay functions are unfinished (such as gems).

Its funny, I played the demo of 06 and was kinda hyped for it, but then the reviews came and... well... now a days I dont listen to reviews almost at all, but that was a bullet dodge right there.

I think Egoraptor mentioned something about the demo being more polished than same stage in the full version? I can acually see that since 06 seems like it COULD have been a good game, but was rushed as heeeeeell. Unfortunately for it, unlike a game like DMC4 where they decided to do gameplay first which led to story being cut in half, Sega wanted to make the story first, and well, even that didnt work out as well as they intended, and in the end, it was an overall disaster.

To give Boom where credit is due, at least most of its mechanics work as intended. Its just... VERY unpolished, unfocused and easy to break. 06 is something we might never see again, a true disaster, that somehow sold amazingly.
