Considering I've watched Attack on Titan and Parasyte, I sure don't mind some gruesomeness.

I must admit I actually have a liking for the macabre. I mean, it is fiction, so I don't mind it.

Watching macabre stuff that is real is different and freaks me a bit.

What about the FInal Destination series? Especially number 3

I'm not really into cutesy stuff myself. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate such things, because I can, but if an anime or manga has moe written all over it, it's likely to not suit my tastes.

Try Higurashi. Though it has more of psychological horror, and a lot of off-screen body horror.

I heard about Higurashi. Might try it one day.

Just note that I did say I don't mind gruesomeness and have a liking for macabre stuff, but I prefer it in moderation.

Attack on Titan and Parasyte have a lot of gore, that's a fact, but it only happens at specific points and it isn't the main thing about them. I don't think people should watch (or read) those series for the gore or they will miss the point of their stories.

Heh, I think I can take it.

Parasyte has worse with hearts being ripped from bodies and such.

Heck, Blue Exorcist has a similar scene when Satan possesses Shiro Fujimoto and deliberately breaks his hands with some gory details. Oh, not to mention blood everywhere because Satan is so powerful, the host bodies get injured literally everywhere.

(By this point, I think people will start thinking I'm into very weird stuff...)
