I have been catching ALL legendaries using regular Poké Balls as of a couple years ago. While Capture O-Power level 3 makes things a little easier, it's still difficult to do. This is all while soft resetting until I get IVs I'm satisfied with.

I dont use o powers ( didnt know they existed in Oras) and i don't mess with ivs... If you have a delcatty ( i use it beacuse it can know wake up slap, sin, dream eater. ) use sing then dream eater. Low damage but enough to get to low hp. That is if your false swiper faints.

Im just lazy and I throw Ultras, Dusks and Timer Balls like crazy
I only caught Groudon and Rayquaza (Higher Catch Rate tho) with Luxury Balls and Im happy with that.

In tournaments is Yoshi considered bad or just annoying to use/play against? I never see him in any top 10 of any major tournaments (talking about smash 4 of course) yet he's considered top 10 in every "tier" list i've seen so far

Nah, he's part of my in-game team and I also use him for catching Pokemon. He has Close Combat, Psycho Cut, Thief, and False Swipe. Currently, he's holding a mega stone, but I don't activate it while attempting to get Deoxys.

Don't get too obsessed with post counts. In the long run, it doesn't matter as long as you're adding something to the conversation.

I'm not sure why we don't see more Yoshi players. I'm sure we will though - this is all still new in terms of a Smash game. Everyone is experimenting. He might not match up well against certain characters that are popular atm.

From what I've read from the Yoshi threads many just find him to difficult or haphazard to pick up.
