Possibly the words of a never before heard song

How about the scent of a freshly opened rose
or the sound of a gentle rain shower?
Can it be a long-winded conversation betweeen two old friends
or the timid hello, as two strangers begin a new friendship?
Two small children fishing from a pond
or a young couple walking hand-in-hand down a wooded path?
Could it be the cat sleeping obliviously in the front window
or the puppy contentedly chewing his master's slipper in the front yard?
Maybe even the spider mending her web as the daylight begins to fade
or the clouds as they change from white, to pink, to red, to purple as the sun sets?
Well, for me, it is knowing that there is someone dear to me
who will always love me, unconditionally.
