Since not so many people are driving up to Genesis (I think) I was wondering of taking a bus up there! The only bus I've looked into so far is Greyhound. If there is another bus we should be taking into consideration, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING!

Greyhound:

Okay, the fare for Greyhound goes all the way up to $104! Yes, it's ridiculous! But there are other offers!

The fares underneath are all ROUND-TRIP and going from North Hollywood to Oakland.

Refundable Fare Adult $104.00

7-Day Advance Purchase Adult $86.00

14-Day Advance Purchase Adult $72.00

21-Day Advance Purchase Adult $48.00

Non-Refundable Adult $92.00

Obviously, the 21-Day Advance Purchase is the way to go if you're already committed! Prices pretty much are the same from SoCal to anywhere in NorCal right now, but might change in the future!

An Itenarary for people in the 818 (I would most likely take this!)

Departing: Jul 9, 2009

From: North Hollywood, CA
To: Oakland, CA

Miles: 397
Schedule: 6844

Greyhound has plenty of stations that should be nearby were you live so please check the site to see a schedule! The next thing would be getting picked up/housing!

I took the Greyhound to Michigan state; really bad idea. Why? because you get hecks from the South on the bus that don't shut the F*** up and it stinks like piss some times.

For a trip up to North that is only 8-9 hours long on Bus isn't bad at all though; I'll probably do bus with 2-3 smashers that I know(MELEE) OF COURSE; end up with Greyhound at North Hollywood like I did for Michigan; yeah I'm interested.

it was 2 days and a half to get to Michigan(state) from the station at North Hollywood.

@Greater Leon; There is no electrical outings on the bus so no smashing on the bus unless you have one of those Game Cubes with the small screen. If you do, you can charge the batteries of it each time we are in a Greyhound station or some type of place where you can.

Actually I still may drive (with some help of course) The freedoms of driving yourself are too good compared to being stuck in a bus all day. I may be lazy by the time this comes around, so leave me on

dang this is awesome. hopefully though we can get a generator. 7 hours in enough for a 1 dollar tourney on the bus lol. it will be forever known as the epic bus tourney.

also, who wants to sleep on the floor if i get a hotel. or can i sleep on someones floor if i get a sleeping bag and pay 15 per night.

This sounds like a pretty good idea, I didn't have a clue on how I'd be getting to Genesis. I'm interested in this!

A day in the Life of Leon
One time when I was younger I went on an airplane. It was no big deal, I'd done it plenty of times before. But i got really sick. I felt like I was gonna puke the whole way, and it was really awkward because I couldn't move around a lot or get to the bathroom easily.

The next time I was supposed to put myself into a situation where I had restricted access to a bathroom I became very anxious. This eventually developed into a mental problem where every time I had to travel somewhere, but not drive, I would get really anxious and worried that I would have to go to the bathroom or get sick which would cause me to feel nauseous. This in addition to nerves, which come up often in real life, made for an annoying existence. High school was quite the bother sometimes. But I am better now.

Bus bathrooms lol. I don't think I'd have the confidence to use one of those for anything other than draining liquids

Great story

carpool is more fun too, and you have access to a vehicle while at your target destination so you can do other stuff besides shuttle back and forth between the venue and your housing (if you can even do that)
