So...why does Snake dislike Sonic?

If you don't know what I'm referring to, Snake can contact his allies via codec as a secret taunt in the Metal Gear level and together they discuss his enemies. What's odd about facing Sonic though, is that this happens:

Any thoughts on why? xD I always assumed it was because people were more excited that Sonic was in Brawl, thus overshadowing Snake's entry. Plus, on a personal level, my friend Kevin and I are the top two players among our friends (give or take a few matches), and he loves choosing Snake while I stick with Sonic, so this got many a hearty chuckle when we found it.
