project64k's desyncing, constant crashing, and graphics errors are still as dumb as it's ever been. sometimes it takes 15+ minutes just to get a 4 player game started

it's been how many years and we're still using this piece of ****? the community is never going to grow until this gets fixed

Who are "they"? See that's the problem: nobody is gonna save our *** with a miraculous new emu. The only way would be that programmers of this community do something. Unfortunately nobody wants to/can spend so much time on this and that's umderstandable.

What Sangoku. BTW maybe it's just me but it seems like there's been more desynch than usual recently if you play on Galaxy. But I p2p'd tacos for hours and we got no desyncs except at the very end so there you go.

What what? I'm saying I doubt there will be any new emulator better optimized for online smash unless someone from the smash community does something. Why would random programmers suddenly help us while they have nothing to gain (assuming they knew we had a problem first...)? Now people from this community has lots of ideas (cf all the threads and posts on how to make things better), but there's always a problem. The persons concerned either don't have the programming knowledge, or they don't have time/don't want to invest so much (time and effort) in to this. And that last point is also understandable.

By the way, I've never played a game with Tacos without a desync wut. I still don't think ds are the main problem with online gaming, but whatever.

Maybe internet explorer and massive can tackle it when theyre done with melee online. This seems like it would be a lot more simplistic. Im sure they, or even other smashboads programmers could whip something up

First we have absolutely no idea when they finish their current project, it could be in a few months, but in years too. As they said themselves, they're just nice guys who do that for the community between job and school and without time pressure. Second, assuming they finish Melee in a near future, why would they work on a game they don't even play? Again, working on online Melee isn't their job, but they do it anyway because they love the game. 64 is obviously not their job either, but if they don't love/don't know the game, I don't see why they would help us.

Maybe I'm being a bit pessimistic, but I really doubt there will be any major improvement concerning online 64. Just let the game die slowly :).

^Actually they said themselves that there's a good chance they will work on Smash 64 after Melee, because apparently it would be a lot easier

But yeah we have no idea when they'll be done

contributing to open source software projects can be a great addition to one's resume, in case anyone needs any additional motivation to work on e.g. Firo's client

Also wtf ballin you can't just tease us about the video and not link it. I mean, jeez, that sounds like something I would do.

I really don't think you can watch it without being my FB friend due to all the privacy settings and what all

Regardless, the good version of the music video isn't even available online - it's sitting on a DVD in some guy's closet. I've been looking to put that video online for YEARS.
