So in my opinion, Club Nintendo's catalog has sucked recently.

It really amazes me how popular franchises like Mario and Zelda are so heavily neglected when it comes to the rewards catalog.

Pilotwings
This is probably the only thing I'd pick up, but I'm holding out for the new batch.

Vegas Stakes
Listen Nintendo, only a handful of casino based games have been successful. They're probably not what your audience is really just captured by in the first place.

Clu Clu Land
The majority of people who have a Wii probably don't even use it. A lot of people who own a Wii most likely don't even know what Club Nintendo is.

Pop up Pursuit
I'm interested, but again, putting it on the Wii was a bad choice.

Tokyo Crash Mobs
What were you going for in putting this on the catalog?

Kirby's Pinball Land
I can see this one being one that people pick up because it's a reputable series.

Metroid II
I think this is probably another good option, though I'll be honest, the graphics kill my eyes. This goes for Kirby's Pinball, too. I'm not too obsessed with graphics quality but it can make the game a lot more enjoyable.

Starship Defense
I don't have any comments about this one, really.

In conclusion, I'd just like to say to Nintendo; give us the things that made you popular in the first place. We want the Mario Games, the Zelda games, Pokemon.... Tokyo Crash Mobs and Vegas Stakes are not what people imagine when they think Nintendo.

I agree, they should focus on their cash heavy franchises and come up with some cool rewards around those before hitting the bottom of the barrel...

They used to have physical versions of Game & Watch Collection (1 & 2) for the DS you could spend coins on (I spent all my valuable coins on the 2nd one), but those went off the site a while ago. I agree the choices have recently been less than optimal.

The Club Nintendo rewards nowadays are just plain sad. There's hardly anything worth buying now outside of certain digital games.

wait a minute they give away actual games on the US Club Nintendo? Over here we just get mobile ringtones and Wii Shop points (to be fair the ringtones and wallpapers are cheap - one Wii U game would get you all of them). Occasionally we get something interesting, like the Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack, a replica Game and Watch, and this:

You very rarely see actual games on there, and even then they're just GBA games (I saw Mario Power Tennis on there recently for 7500 stars or so). and don't get me started on the fiasco over the platinum rewards last year, that doesn't even exist here. I wouldn't say no to a free Donkey Kong Country Returns or whatever they gave out.

Yea, they've defintiely been better. I remember first joining and seeing games like Dillion's Rolling Western (an excellent eshop game if I do say so myself.). I do think that they occasionally still have some good stuff, like the 3D Classics Kid Icarus a few months ago. But overall, it could stand to have some improvement

I would have to agree with everything people said. I joined the service because I could get a free copy of Pokémon X, and I already had the Y Version, so I thought it would be cool to. The only GOOD reward I got was a Luigi hat carrying case for my 3DS. I'm currently waiting for the "Platinum Rewards" that will most likely stink. (AGAIN) The case is actually pretty nice.
EDIT: The image did NOT post. Sorry.

Yeah, I normally just buy a game if I see something I am somewhat interested in. I got Kirby's Dream Land, Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters, and some other DSI shop game.
EDIT: These seem nice. https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/45131.do
I think that some rewards are OK at best.

Platinum rewards only started to be pretty bad in 2014. Before that, Platinum got you a Mario hat (2009), a figurine with all of the Mario characters (2010), a Mario Badge Set (2011), a set of Platinum Mario Playing Cards (2012), and a Majora's Mask Soundtrack (2013). Last year was the first year there were no physical rewards for anyone achieving Elite status.
Last year people complained about the soundtrack because they wanted something big like the figurine. The only reason the figurine was given was because I think 2010 was Mario's 25th anniversary, so they wanted to do something special for all of the fans.

I would be cool if they offered more soundtracks. I love game music, and I'd much rather spend coins on soundtracks that aren't available elsewhere than digital games I have little interest in.

I'm perfectly fine with digital games, although that might just be because I ****ing love video games and miss my old collection of older titles, but IMO they just don't release very many that are worthwhile.

Tthe ONLY thing I've gotten besides the soundtrack and Mewtwo on Club Nintendo is Kirby's Dream Land 3, for obvious reasons. (hint: Look at my main.) I hope the rewards get better.

It appears that Club Nintendo will be calling it quits at the end of June for North America. That might explain the lack of stuff to get now.

Nintendo announced this information pretty recently.

That's a bummer, but we can't say that we didn't see the writing on the wall. As the thread states in the title, it's really gone downhill recently. Hopefully some cool stuff gets put up for the "February Blowout", and the new loyalty program is something involving a unified account system (a man can dream, right?).

But if it's called "New Club Nintendo" I might have a stroke.

Thank goodness I didn't spend my remaining coins just to spend them, then.

Bummer about the discontinuation, but really looking forward to February now at least.

Earthbound, F-Zero X and MM here I come. Also, I've always wanted to give Star Tropics a go, it always looked like something I might enjoy. So I guess I'll be nabbing Star Tropics II while I'm there.

Good thing I have around 600 coins saved.

That's a pretty decent-looking list. Hopefully NoE has something similar planned, right now the most impressive things on there are the G&W replica and the Mario golf balls.

The website is kinda operable right now. At least you can see everything they're offering. Don't buy anything, though. I tried to get Earthbound and the site crashed while it was processing my request. Now it's telling me that all 620 of my coins are gone, hopefuly this will be fixed in the morning.

What isn't listed above is this super awesome Majora's Mask messenger bag. Currently it is still in stock (I just got my order in a few minutes ago), and it costs 800 coins.

That might be the only physical item worth getting right now though...

Lying about my country.
Man, I really can't decide what I want.

I'd rather not get a VC game when I can get a new game instead, but I'm kinda considering going for Earthbound on Wii U, simply because it's one of the few major classics I haven't played. I can perfectly just emulate it and get literally the same experience (could play on the same TV with the same controller and sitting on the same spot on either PC or Wii U) but actually owning the thing would be nice.

Then there's the downloadable games I'd like to play: Dr. Luigi, NES Remix, Dillon's Rolling Western, Harmo Knight... Got enough for two of those. I'd probably go for NES Remix and Harmo Knight.

Then, I could always just go "Screw it" and get DKCR or even Game & Wario. Would have to get that and nothing else.

Everything else in the list is either something I've already played before, or something I'm not really interested infor different reasons.

I really wish I hadn't gotten anything the past couple of months out of desperation. Could have like 900 coins right now. It's not like I got anything worthwhile.

All I know is that I really want to get Earthbound and Mario Party 2, but Club Nintendo's website refuses to work. I've gotten close, but there's always some error before I can get my orders processed.

I'm definitely going to get Earthbound, but I've got 600 coins to use (it'll be 650 once I register Omega Ruby) and can't decide what else to spend them on. Part of the problem is that pretty much all of the other games I'm interested in are ones I already have. So I'm biding my time hoping that something will jump out at me.

Today begins the final month that you can register your Nintendo products with Club Nintendo. Just keep note that all products that are released after 1/20 are ineligible.

At least you guys have games to spend your points on.

You know what I can spend my 4250 stars on in the UK catalogue? Ringtones and desktop wallpapers. Oh and giftwrapping paper. I can't even believe they're trying to sell ringtones and desktop wallpapers as a reward on our store, it quite literally boggles my mind.

I'm pretty sure I have codes lying around for another 500 stars or so but what's the point of even redeeming them now? The stuff on there is so rubbish that I'd rather conserve space in my home than actually own any of it.

Even if the games on the store were old and/or mediocre they'd probably be worth while, if only for the prospect of finding a hidden gem or something.
