No body told me that you had to press a direction. :/Hey man I saw your vid from your signature. Look at 0:35-0:36. You get hit by Marth and then you go into a roll as you hit the floor.
To do this, you have to press L and a direction on the analog (left, right, bottom).
EXACTLY like an L CANCEL.
For an L-cancel, you don't. The difference between a tech and an L-cancel (timing wise) is that you have you have to hit L/R within 20 frames of hitting the ground to tech (a third of a second), and within 6 frames (a tenth of a second) to L-cancel.No body told me that you had to press a direction. :/

the marth boards have had a few threads like these lately, we all need to sticky a "look here!" sheet or something...doubt they would look though.
Training mode has a feature that let's you practice at 1/2 game speed...
Use it... It's one of the greatest tools for learning to l-cancel properly.
