Snake keeps destroying me. How is it a +1?

Snake's grenades are difficult to avoid, plus a lot of hit attacks have more range than Marth's sword. Not only that, but Snake has a fast and easy kill move when I'm at around 100%, while killing him is a huge pain in the *** every time. Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong, and how the match up is supposed to be played?

Also for general advice I added vids of me vs Lucario.

Mind giving a more meaningful title to the thread?

Also I'd say your biggest problem is the shield button.
You roll too much.
Your little short dashes don't do anything (why are you doing them?)
You shield after everything, it's very easy to punish and take advantage of it.
You swing your sword when there's nothing to gain / hit.

What kind of title do you have in mind?

I shield and roll too much? So spot dodge more?
I can see that, my defensive play is stale.
But I still don't see Snake being a positive match up. I don't think spot dodging will have that great of an impact for me. What else am I doing incorrectly?

No no, I didn't mean spot dodge more. I just mean you do shield actions (rolls, holding up shield, etc etc) toooo much.
Try practising with a control set up without a shield button (or not have it set on your default button for it). I can tell by how you play that you have your finger firmly over your shield button and its just castrating your options.

As I said, the snake match up can't be in our favour if you constantly swing your sword at thin air + don't use your shield appropriately. Your spacing isn't exactly on top of the ball game either, but I think your main struggles are your choices rather than your executions atm.
