I don't think that's a likely scenario Tim. If they try to pass something with a view to too much local bias, or is against the overall national interest, the senate (where the Greens will dominate, assuming Lib/Alp vote against each other) will BLOCK it, if it even reaches the upper house.
The most realistic scenario is that not much will pass through in an elected minority government for the next three years, unless it has been well scrutinised by three groups -- I think that's a better parliamentary process even if it is slower (because most people would agree Lib/Alp ran fairly **** campaigns). I love Oakeshott actually - he's very rational for a person who wields considerable power at the moment -- he's calling for the nation to go back to the polls if negotiations fail. Ultimately, the country didn't like ALP or Liberal enough to govern.
