Smashfest (Tournament?) at UMBC - 4/2/11

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting a fest going at the UMBC gameroom this Saturday. For those of you who haven't been there before, the gameroom is pretty ****ing sweet. In fact, I'm there right now LOL. There's multiple TVs with gamecubes already set-up and there's a ton of room etc.

I'm hoping to spark / revive some interest in the melee scene closer to this area (since most of the MD/VA smashing is done in or around D.C. these days).

There are a bunch of people somewhat nearby that may (hopefully) come as well including Bmore's finest (Btree / HAT / Frozen etc), Mooseeatsbear & co., and a handful of UMBC students (including Black Hayato from Legally Blonde).

We can have crew battles (UMBC vs. UMD / Bmore vs. D.C. / MD vs. VA???) or mini-tournaments like low tiers or whatever depending on the turnout.

Post up if you are interested / plan on attending and spread the word.

I'm not worried about him. But it's not like it would be impossible for him to take a match off me if I went ICs against his Peach just because I'm stubborn.

Peach bothers me because I've never been particularly good at the Fox/Sheik vs Peach matchup, but I guess it's something I could learn.

this is why u need to get ur falcon better. falcon vs peach is less stressful imo then fox vs peach. My reasoning is that by default falcon is a less stressful character at least on ur hands, and i dont think peach can 0-death cg falcon. That and falcon is da sht

lol iono. Falcon's recovery is the badness. worst recovery in the game imo, besides docs, but since people dont know how to edgeguard doc/ are afraid of his recovery for some random reason, falcons recovery is the worst. Get him off stage and its a free edgeguard and even if u *** up chances are he either A ate quite a bit of percent, B is in a position to get thrown right back off stage, or C both A and B lol

If you're getting gimped all the time by Marth you should just get better at recovering ... Marth has to read how you're doing it to gimp you for the most part
