SmashBrawlRankings.Com announces an innovative new service to test your skill against other Brawlers…a RANKED TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT!!!

The Backstory:
We all know how successful the MLG circuits were for Melee, and how regional circuits are drawing tons of skilled, dedicated smashers for Brawl. We also know how prevalent online ladders are, and how much fun they are to play. So, we combined the two systems to create THE most comprehensive online ranking system catering to competitive Brawl!

How It Works:
It’s all really simple, and straightforward. We are now offering a seasonal circuit (4 seasons of three months per year) of ranked tournaments. Any user can create a tournament, post the listing on our dedicated Ranked Tournament Circuit (RTC) message board that complies with our rule-set a few days before the desired hosting date. One of our RTC panel members will look over the information to ensure that it meets protocol, and pre-certify it for “live play”. At the tournament’s completion, just edit your post with the results listing and the required “post tourney data” information, and a panel member will officially approve it and the results will be tabulated into our ranking system.

At the end of each week, the RTC panel will feed the results into our ranking program and update the site with the current standings. Oh, and there’s no worry about someone winning a ton of 8 person tournaments and being in first place because of it, as the point values are weighted based on number of participants. After all, winning a 64 man tournament is a heck of a lot harder than winning an 8 person tournament.

And, that’s not all. At SmashBrawlRankings.com, we encourage good sportsmanship as well as high levels of play. To reinforce that, we have built into the system several bonuses for exceptional performances/deeds accomplished in the tournament, as well as penalty points for being DQ’d. Finally, you won’t have to hear all the fussing and whining and name-calling that usually accompany online tournaments, as these will be promptly dealt with!

Additionally, the RTC panel will hold “OFFICIAL RTC TOURNAMENTS” where the point values are multiplied by 1.5!

There’s Even MORE:
Yes, there IS more. We know that lots of people LOVE online ladders, and so we are happy to inform you that the ladder will not only still be available for play, but also intermingle with the Ranked Tournament Circuit!

We all know how frustrating random seeding can be in most online tournaments, and arbitrarily picking skill levels are purely subjective. To eliminate that, we use the current ladder rankings as the seeding list for the tournaments.

Also, even with ladder rankings and tournament performances, there are sometimes ambiguities concerning who the *best* really is. So, to solve that, we have implemented a “Best In Site” list which incorporates ladder positions and RTC tournament performance to create a composite “Best In Site” score!

PRIZES:
While we all know this is for competitive fun, we all can agree that prizes create a sense of urgency and excitement to any competition. Its important to note that the prizes will be distributed at the end of each season and based off of the COMPOSITE SCORE OF THE LADDER + RANKED TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT!!!!!!!!!!! Bearing that in mind, we are offering a prizes to the top 4

The prize list is as follows:
1st Place: 60 bucks cash via paypal or wii points equivalent
2nd Place: 35 bucks cash via paypal or wii points equivalent
3rd Place: 2000 wii points
4th Place: 1000 wii points
Due to the season starting later than expected, the prize list is smaller this time around, but we plan on having them jump up for next season!
