A few ground rules:
  • The series primarily focuses on characters who are humans or close enough to having human-like body shapes, so sadly, no Sonic or Klonoa or otherwise will be present on the roster
  • The primary focus will be on the Pair and Solo units, but we will be doing bosses occassionally.

Job #2: Submit a Tekken Pair and Solo

  • Name: Ling Xiaoyu & Hwoarang (Pair); Jin Kazama (Solo)
  • Origin: Tekken 3 (1997)
  • What game they're based on: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (2011)
  • Reason: These two are both some of the closest people in Jin's life despite not interacting with him that much in Tekken canon, so I figured I could get away with pairing these two up and making Jin the Solo Unit. Plus, it would also be a good chance to feature Jin's Devil form as a Rival Unit.

Since Tekken Bloodline made them all friends, you could reference that series for how they could interact with each other.

To begin with, I'll say hello, I'm a fan of project x zone. I liked your project.
·Name: Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine
·Origin: RE1 (Jill) and RE2 (Leon)
·Based on: resident evil 2 (Jill) and resident evil 4 (Leon)
·Reason: these are some of the popular characters, I think we need to change something, because in previous games we had Chris and Jill.
·Music: Revelations (RE revelations) and main theme (RE6)

Leon and Ashley work as one like Phoenix and Maya. They're parked with Ads as an Ads and Leon pair has been set up since PXZ1.

  • Name: Akira Yuki & Pai Chan (Pair); Jeffry McWild (Solo)
  • Based On?: Virtua Fighter 5 (2006)
  • Reasons:
    • Akira and Pai are some of the most iconic characters from the Virtua Fighter series, but also work quite well together given their shared passion for fighting and similar east-Asian influences (with Akira based on Japan, and Pai from China.)
    • Jeffry works well to counter the other Virtua Fighter characters' personalities with a more boisterous and outgoing one, but I also think his nature as a fisherman lends to some potential comedy - a move where he can slam his boat into someone would be pretty funny.

I'll just throw these guys.
Iori and Amari, the two main characters of SRW X, they come from earth but from the perspective of the people of earth the two of them disappeared, the reality being that they ended up on an alien world where they learned how to use magic.

They fought against an evil cult who was trying to revive their dark god Ende and brought people from different world together to try and do it or something, it's been a while since i played that entry.

X came out in 2018, though, way after both of the 3DS PxZ games.

Ah, i didnt realize what the threads concept was lmao


Well i dont got a solo unit idea but as for a pair here's Fighter roar and Fighter Emi

A superhero and his sidekick who can fight outside their robot, idont know their full lore as most of it is in Japanese but Fighter Roar has a bit of a history as he was part of a superhero team made up of the original Kamen Rider and original Ultraman in a game series called "Compatiheroes" before appearing in the Super robot wars series and becoming a part of their canon.

I'll go with Fighter Roar and Fighter Emi, they seem really cool.

As for Job #06:

  • Name: Yuri Lowell & Flynn Scifo (Pair); Lloyd Irving (Solo)
  • Based On?: Tales of Vesperia (2006), Tales of Symphonia (2003)
  • Reasons:
    • Yuri's arguably the most iconic character from the series, and his difficult relationship with Flynn that develops over the course of Vesperia feels like it'd lend well to them being unique in terms of character.
    • Similarly, Lloyd's a massively popular character in his own right but doesn't have that same connection with Yuri, so he's here as a solo unit from his own world. (I think that's how the Tales series works. I'm not too familiar with it.)
