Pac-Man with a Twist

Pac-and-Slash
Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
Release: 2030

Set twenty years after the events of the Pac-Man mythos, the infinite chomper somehow spawned a child of his own to continue his lineage. At the start of the game, Pac-Man and Pac-Teen don't always see eye to eye with each other. (Sidenote: If anyone on this board watched Not Just a Goof, I envy you.)

However, despite their differences, they must learn to work together to stop a whole paranormal invasion with Clyde leading all the ghosts in the universe to attack their world. The trouble multiplies when Pac-Teen's whole family is kidnapped, including Pac-Man himself, leaving him to brave the ectoplasmic army all by himself, with just a butter knife for defense.

Along the way, you can equip new powerful weapons with help from Professor Pac, eventually going as far above as a multiversal scythe to reap the ghosts with. You can also visit the Pac-Cade, run by Pac-Grandma, and play classic Namco games.

Challenge 11: Pac-Man and The Ghost Cave

Pac-Man and The Ghost Cave is a puzzle/platformer game, the game tells that Professor Pac-Man said to Pac-Man that there is a myth of a hidden cave full of ghosts and Pac-Man have to go there, Pac-Man discovers that the myth is true and entered at the cave, inside the cave, he finds Pinky that she was separated from Inky, Blinky and Clyde but she can help Pac-Man to know about the cave, the game is similar to Pac-Man World series, but it is more focused on exploration, puzzles and it's semi open-world, Pac-Man and Pinky are both playable but they have different controls and movesets, Pac-Man can eat the enemies, jump, run and uses different items, and Pinky can float, attack, pass through walls invisible and creates platforms, also there are bosses in the game, and they have puzzle sessions too, incluining Inky, Blinky and Clyde

Challenge 11: Pac-Man X KataMari DaMacy
This would be a puzzle action game where Pac-Man would have to consume everything in sight, growing larger and more powerful as they consume.
The story mode would have the ghosts take down the town and Pac-Man be the only one to stop them.
During the game you can collect pellets that increase your size a little, and Power Pellets that make you invincible.
There would also be a multiplayer mode, where the largest player in the time limit wins.

Pac & Back
A rougelike take on the classic Pac-Man game. Players equip power pellets and other items before they enter the maze. Its classic Pac-Man gameplay, but with a larger, seemingly endless maze. The maze's order will be randomly generated each time, with random enemies spawning. Along with the ghosts, which also include later ghosts like the ones from ms. Pac-Man, there's also enemies such as Pooka, Flygar and Galaga. Effects may happen too. You collect power ups which can then be added to your loadout before the run starts. There are online leaderboards. Uses a classic 8-bit style.

As for Pitch #011... I think this could be fun.

When a weak distress call emanated from the asteroid-mining colony known as the Labyrinth, Paul Ackmann - a nearby scrapper exploring one of the nearby wrecked Orbitals - was attacked by a sudden swarm of bug-like creatures. Fighting his way through and arriving at the colony, he found it devoid of human life. But, with the UGSF undoubtedly on their way to respond, Ackmann's left with the harrowing task of determining the truth of the Labyrinth, with the help of tools and information left by its previous workers... before it's too late.

P. Ackmann's Labyrinth
(Namco, 2025)​

Long story short; a Pac-Man platformer "metroidvania". You play as Paul Ackmann, distinguishable due to his distinctive yellow suit, and armed with an experimental drill acquired from a close friend during his time on Earth. Progressing through the Labyrinth, you'll equip various new items and abilities based on various classic Namco arcade titles, as well as having to fend off against the insectoid creatures from within the Breach - being, of course, based heavily on the Galaxian series. On top of all of this... four energy-draining "Spectres" are travelling aimlessly around the Labyrinth, and must be avoided or faced with the tools at hand. Of course, Ackmann's unprepared for this at first, but if he can find one of the colony's energy sources, he may stand a chance...

Some weapons, items, and abilities could include;

• Drill Gun - Inspired by Dig Dug (1982). Ackmann's main weapon, it's a combined drill/pile bunker with the ability to repeatedly drill into enemies nearby, or fire off bits as projectiles that must be picked up. It's also capable of tunneling through rock with an upgrade, but can't tunnel through metal.
• Miru - Inspired by Pac & Pal (1983). A rare example of a non-harmful Spectre, Miru bonds to Ackmann despite her lack of communicative skills, and joins him in his exploration. She can drain the power around her in a manner similar to the other four Spectres, and is also very adept at determining their location. (It's otherwise possible by looking for regions with no power on your map.)​
• Sonic Cannon - Inspired by Mappy (1983). A tool devised by one of the Labyrinth's security officers to harmlessly disrupt intruders utilising pressurised soundwaves. When fired at enemies, it momentarily stuns them - though other enemies are highly receptive to the sound and will become agitated.​
• Blue Crystal - Inspired by The Tower of Druaga (1984). A lighting system featured throughout Labyrinth, of which a handheld variant is found at the very bottom of a structure deep below the colony. It lights up dark places and always orients itself "upward" in relation to Labyrinth's artificial gravity, and has the unique property of being immune to the energy-draining effects of the Spectres.​
• FLAGG - Inspired by Rally-X (1980). Effectively works as a checkpoint system, of which Ackmann can carry up to three at a time, and "plant" into the ground. Should Ackmann be killed while holding at least one FLAGG, he'll respawn intact at any other FLAGG he's placed down. (If not, he'll respawn at his ship.)​

Think of the game as having a sort of cross in terms of visuals with something like Super Metroid while leaning hard into the space opera vibe seen in 2001: A Space Odyssey. The journey is, in some ways, quite cerebral - it is action-focused, but Ackmann's outlook on things will deteriorate over time, especially if exposed to the Spectres on multiple occasions. Ultimately, you'll need to destroy or dismiss the Spectres, seal the breach, and ensure it's safe for the UGSF to arrive - with a bad ending featuring various ships being overwhelmed by extradimensional forces.

Note that this is in no way intended to be a thematic ripoff of Shadow Labyrinth. The idea's moreso inspired by a few interesting takes on Pac-Man as an astronaut that I've seen in the past. Also, sorry for the lack of mockups this time around, the lack of Internet coupled with uni starting to wrap up has been running me through the wringer a little!

1. Pac and Back - I think using the Pac-Man universe as a blueprint for a rougelite is an inspired decision.
2. P. Ackmann's Labyrinth - This pitch gets points detracted for being similar in theory to Shadow Labyrinth, although pulling from other classic Namco titles is a plus.
3. Pac-Man X Katamari Damacy - The eclectic molding of two different Namco properties is what puts it on my list.

Mole Mania: Resurfaced

During a meeting with the brass at Nintendo, it has come to their awareness that Shigeru Miyamoto is getting on in years. After discussing with his peers, it was announced that he will work on two more titles before retiring: One Mario title, and one non-Mario title. In the end, he decided to give some love to one of his lesser-known creations on his way out, conveniently celebrating its 30th anniversary on the Game Boy.

As such, on the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, they announced a remake of Mole Mania to the surprise of quite a few people.

Mole Mania: Resurfaced is a full-color remake of the original game, its look inspired by the modern 2D Zelda titles like the Link's Awakening remake and Echoes of Wisdom.

Along with a complete array of colors and a plastic-esque artstyle, the game also comes with new features, like a Rewind function, a small map of the area in the corner of the screen, a Shop feature where you can purchase cosmetics, and a Boss Rush mode that you can unlock after beating the game.

The story goes as follows: A lowly Farmer named Jinbe is tired of moles stealing his vegetables, so he kidnaps the entire family. Unfortunately, he did not anticipate Muddy Mole, the patriarch of the family, to take back his family and fight his legion of enemies in the process.

Another small addition is seen in the background of the final boss: A picture of Jinbe shaking hands with Mario, thus confirming that these are two separate people, debunking the theory that Muddy is part of the Monty Mole species.

The gameplay also sees no major changes: You still play as Muddy as he digs holes and throws balls, cabbages, pipes, and barrels to better traverse the land. Only this time, in the boss rush, his wife can be selected as a second player, adding more chaos to the puzzles.​

God of War 1+2 Remake is a remake from the two first games from PlayStation 2. it is announced on a State of Play, the graphics are so more realistic and used the same graphic engine from God of War 2018 and Ragnarok, the gameplay is the same and classic from the tradictional hack n slash, and the story of both of games have a little changes that are different from the original games

The differences are the first game have more new bosses, new weapons, incluing too the Leviathan Axe, new worlds who are deleted levels and new costumes

A CTR Nitro Fueled like remake that combines both Power Stone 1 & 2 into one package.

- All 16 characters (including secret fighters Kraken, Valgas, Mel, & Pride) are playable. Additionally Power Stone 2s bosses Pharoah Walker & Dr. Erode are made playable in a new mode & 2 new fighters are added (A clone of Rouge & a character similar to Eleven from SF5 who morphs into a random other fighter).

- Power Stone 1 brings 12 stages while Power Stone 2 will bring 5 plus 3 Bonus stages. Power Stone 2s stages will have hazardless / Power Stone 1 like varients while Power Stone 1 stages will get whacky, shifting, Power Stone 2 varients post-launch.

- Has updated & classic visuals & remix & original music both toggable mid game similar to the Goldeneye XBLA prototype.

- A new team / tag team mode will add Fusion Power Stone forms that combine elements of the teammates. Teams would be preset as it is not feasible to create a Fusion for every combination. However there will be a custom team option that would use a generic Fusion form. Where some characters may have more preset team options, everyone will have at least 1 unique Fusion / Preset team.

- In addition to stages, post launch support would also add more Fusion Teams & Costumes (a couple included in base game), and at least 3 fighters. An original character, Lee Walker (a well known, fan made Power Stone 3 concept character), and a guest fighter (Dante would probably make the most sense).

- Online Play would be added too of course

Red Dead Redemption: Definitive Edition
Conceived as a full remake of the original, Red Dead Redemption: Definitive Edition was built from the ground up with new assets and an expanded story, although missions and arcs from the original game are carried over. New to the remake is the ability to drive automobiles, a feature that was planned for the original game but was cut for reasons unknown.
Despite being a faithful remake of the original game, Red Dead Redemption: Definitive Edition features several new missions, characters and features to the game:

• The remake contains several features, weapons and items that were planned for the original game but were cut. These include the ability to drive the automobile and armored truck, sailing canoes and rafts, the Walker Revolver, the double bandolier, Hermanas Church having an interior, the Morningstar Steamboat being a floating casino, using cows as mounts, being able to hunt and skin bats and featuring sasquatch.
• There are also two stranger missions that were planned but cut from the original game. They involve John finding a friend for a man with Dwarfism and collecting religious artifacts for Mother Superior.
• Moose, Black bears and Sasquatch are added to the games wildlife.
• There is a new territory called North Elizabeth.
• There are several references to Red Dead Redemption 2, particularly to Arthur Morgan.

A remake of NASB1, not 2.

1. Redone animations and models with cel-shaded characters (including Hugh) on fully textured backgrounds.
2. New soundtrack, toggleable between old and new
3. 8 alts for all characters, plus a universal hat system. All hats are unlockable, as are 4 out of 8 alts
4. Minor moveset reworks - very few specials are changed (pretty much just Lincoln's squirt gun and Cat getting a seperate up B from Dog) but air attacks that appear similarly to ground attacks are reanimated as well as some select awkward prop moves like Toph up tilt and Danny strong grounded, and CatDog getting extra variable moves.
5. NO NEWCOMERS, but a tripled stage list including all NASB2 stages and stages from unrepped cartoons, sitcoms, game shows, and maybe even a dash of Jr.
6. Stage variants - including casual variants for all competitive stages, a ceilingless Ghost Zone, classic Royal Woods, and NASB2 layout changes.
7. Melee-style Adventure mode

Yes, it is.

Super Mario Land Rediscovered

A rather in-depth remake & reimagining of the Game Boy classic, SMLR strives to bring everything to a modern standard, filling out the story, and generally adding a lot more content, making what was originally a half hour game into something much beefier.

The game uses a 2d animated artstyle, designed to replicate the artstyle used on the boxart, with a few changes to ensure some designs fit the Modern Standard. The game is presented in FULL COLOR, but filters replicating GB, GBC, Monochrome, and even VB are available.

Luigi is added as a playable character, and you can choose to use him in lieu of Mario. When you do this, Hearts appear when you rescue Daisy, which no longer happens with Mario. You can also do 2 player co-op!

Worlds are greatly expanded, each one getting an additional 4 main levels. And after beating the boss, you get a bonus level where you team up with them! After all, according to the story, the bosses and enemies were just brainwashed by Tatanga. The game also has a world map. Boss fights are also reworked to fit a modern standard.

Speaking of story, the game actually presents said story in-game in greater detail. Animated Cutscenes play before & after each world, and Tatanga in particular is given a smidgen bit more backstory. There's a bit of background lore about how Tatanga wants Sarasaland in particular because of its alien connection (note how most of the kingdoms in it are based on places with many alien conspiracies, I'm playing off that)

Don't worry though, the story isn't too deep. Cutscenes are pantomimed with only a few wahoos, cries for help, evil snickering, and mamamias to break the silence. And there's probably only like 6 minutes of cutscenes in total.

Each level also adds Collectible Big Coins to search for. Each one features a design of one of the characters or enemies in the game on the back, and you can look at them all in the Coin Collection menu, which also features descriptions for each.

A fifth world is added, set in space and featuring references to Land 2's Space Zone. In this world you get access to a third type of Pop, the Space Pop! Which looks strikingly like like strange craft Mario drives in Alleyway, and it plays like it too! That's right! You get about 2 levels in the game dedicated to a Breakout clone, including the final boss (partially).

After you beat the game, there's actually even more to do!

Classic Run!
A speed-running mode in which the game is stripped back down to the "three levels in four worlds" format in the original. Even bosses revert to simpler patterns. The goal is to beat this mode as fast as possible. This mode features only leaderboards, but if you beat one of the pre-installed no-internet required high scores, you unlock...

Classic Classic Run!
A straight up port of the original Super Mario Land! Just with a speed run timer in the corner. Getting highscores on this will unlock gold statues of mario, luigi, and daisy on the title screen.

Alleyway Rediscovered!
A remake of Alleyway! Not much to say here, doesn't have any crazy flourishes beyond graphical improvement to match SMLR.

Sky Pop Forever!
An endless Sky Pop shoot-em-up! Getting a highscore unlocks Tatanga as a playable character in this mode.

So yeah, that's the game! We'll, there's one more thing... getting 100% completion unlocks a cutscene teasing a potential Mario Land 2 remake...

So yeah, that's the game! Maybe a bit hogwild, but it's a dream remake, and this is the level of craziness I'd want in a dream remake! Hope you like!

Sonic Adventure 2: Chaos Controlled

This would be a pretty substantial reimagining of the game that keeps the core of the experience but modernizes it and irons out the game’s flaws.

-Fully redone HD visuals, with new character models and a cel-shaded art style meant to replicate the Uekawa art

-Updated level designs and physics that better incentivize using momentum in Speed stages

-Tails and Eggman’s mechs are faster and less clunky

-Knuckles and Rouge have the Adventure 1 radar as a toggleable option

-Story is rewritten, keeping the core story beats but fixing a lot of the inconsistencies and better explaining some things (for example actually stating that Maria has an illness in the game)

-More unlockable Chao Gardens based on classic locations like Green Hill, Casino Night, Sky Sanctuary, etc.

-Remixed soundtrack, with the original also available as an option.

-More unlockable skins for every character, and they would be usable in singleplayer.

Minor moveset reworks - very few specials are changed (pretty much just Lincoln's squirt gun and Cat getting a seperate up B from Dog) but air attacks that appear similarly to ground attacks are reanimated as well as some select awkward prop moves like Toph up tilt and Danny strong grounded, and CatDog getting extra variable moves.

Super Mario Land Rediscovered

A rather in-depth remake & reimagining of the Game Boy classic, SMLR strives to bring everything to a modern standard, filling out the story, and generally adding a lot more content, making what was originally a half hour game into something much beefier.

The game uses a 2d animated artstyle, designed to replicate the artstyle used on the boxart, with a few changes to ensure some designs fit the Modern Standard. The game is presented in FULL COLOR, but filters replicating GB, GBC, Monochrome, and even VB are available.

Luigi is added as a playable character, and you can choose to use him in lieu of Mario. When you do this, Hearts appear when you rescue Daisy, which no longer happens with Mario. You can also do 2 player co-op!

Worlds are greatly expanded, each one getting an additional 4 main levels. And after beating the boss, you get a bonus level where you team up with them! After all, according to the story, the bosses and enemies were just brainwashed by Tatanga. The game also has a world map. Boss fights are also reworked to fit a modern standard.

Speaking of story, the game actually presents said story in-game in greater detail. Animated Cutscenes play before & after each world, and Tatanga in particular is given a smidgen bit more backstory. There's a bit of background lore about how Tatanga wants Sarasaland in particular because of its alien connection (note how most of the kingdoms in it are based on places with many alien conspiracies, I'm playing off that)

Don't worry though, the story isn't too deep. Cutscenes are pantomimed with only a few wahoos, cries for help, evil snickering, and mamamias to break the silence. And there's probably only like 6 minutes of cutscenes in total.

Each level also adds Collectible Big Coins to search for. Each one features a design of one of the characters or enemies in the game on the back, and you can look at them all in the Coin Collection menu, which also features descriptions for each.

A fifth world is added, set in space and featuring references to Land 2's Space Zone. In this world you get access to a third type of Pop, the Space Pop! Which looks strikingly like like strange craft Mario drives in Alleyway, and it plays like it too! That's right! You get about 2 levels in the game dedicated to a Breakout clone, including the final boss (partially).

After you beat the game, there's actually even more to do!

Classic Run!
A speed-running mode in which the game is stripped back down to the "three levels in four worlds" format in the original. Even bosses revert to simpler patterns. The goal is to beat this mode as fast as possible. This mode features only leaderboards, but if you beat one of the pre-installed no-internet required high scores, you unlock...

Classic Classic Run!
A straight up port of the original Super Mario Land! Just with a speed run timer in the corner. Getting highscores on this will unlock gold statues of mario, luigi, and daisy on the title screen.

Alleyway Rediscovered!
A remake of Alleyway! Not much to say here, doesn't have any crazy flourishes beyond graphical improvement to match SMLR.

Sky Pop Forever!
An endless Sky Pop shoot-em-up! Getting a highscore unlocks Tatanga as a playable character in this mode.

So yeah, that's the game! We'll, there's one more thing... getting 100% completion unlocks a cutscene teasing a potential Mario Land 2 remake...

So yeah, that's the game! Maybe a bit hogwild, but it's a dream remake, and this is the level of craziness I'd want in a dream remake! Hope you like!

Sonic Adventure 2: Chaos Controlled

This would be a pretty substantial reimagining of the game that keeps the core of the experience but modernizes it and irons out the game’s flaws.

-Fully redone HD visuals, with new character models and a cel-shaded art style meant to replicate the Uekawa art

-Updated level designs and physics that better incentivize using momentum in Speed stages

-Tails and Eggman’s mechs are faster and less clunky

-Knuckles and Rouge have the Adventure 1 radar as a toggleable option

-Story is rewritten, keeping the core story beats but fixing a lot of the inconsistencies and better explaining some things (for example actually stating that Maria has and illness in the game)

-More unlockable Chao Gardens based on classic locations like Green Hill, Casino Night, Sky Sanctuary, etc.

-Remixed soundtrack, with the original also available as an option.

-More unlockable skins for every character, and they would be usable in singleplayer.

Joe decides to host an endurance race with his fellow freelance taxi drivers: Whoever can drive across the country the fastest gets first dibs for a month on anyone hollering for a ride. However, somewhere in the Midwest, the amount of speed combined from every single racer causes a temporal wormhole to suck all the contestants hundreds of years into the future, in the middle of an F-Zero race, causing them to be bumped off the track and their cars to be totaled nearly beyond repair.

When the taxi drivers regain consciousness in the hospital, they discover this new world and decide to explore it. And by "explore", I mean "raid the futuristic cars for parts". They head out of the infirmary, only to be stopped by Captain Falcon, who came in fifth place due to their shenanigans. However, after hearing the trouble they got into, he decides to help them get back home.

The gameplay consists of two parts: Scavenging the 26th century equivalent of a junkyard pile for new parts for the Crazy Taxi racers, and testing and entering the new cars in smaller-scale races, eventually working their way up to the next F-Zero tournament for a chance to return to their time.

Will B.D. Joe and the rest of the gang be able to get back home? Will Captain Falcon's competitors seize his operation? Why is Jody Summer panicking around Gena all of a sudden? All those and more questions will be answered in this crossover racing game of the century.​

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #XC (SMT / Xenoblade)

Thought TMS #FE was fun for what it was & wouldnt mind seeing it re-explored with a different twist / ip crossover.

Would take place in an alternative timeline with a new cast, however major original characters from the 1st game will serve various roles from a cameo to a full side story or role in main story. Rather than focusing on idol culture this game will revolve around the food industry. Our main cast will be part of a recruitment agency helping them all break out into the industry in their specific specialty.

Obviously all Fire Emblem characters & references would be replaced by Xenoblade. All games in the main trilogy will be prominently featured. There will be a Side Quest with some Xenoblade X content & DLC Dungeons that focus on expansions like Torna & Future Connected. There will be an original Nopon who will serve Tikis role & the main Mirages would be the following

Mega Man & Donkey Kong : Metal-Monkey Business
After Mega Man foils Dr. Willy's latest plan, he attempts to create a new version of his Time Machine from Mega Man 2 and ends up stuck in a jungle in the past. There he discovers that potassium can fuel his robots, so he steals Donkey Kong's beloved banana horde and starts to take over Donkey Kong Island. He turns Donkey Kong's friends into new Robot Masters to serve him. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong set out to save their island home and rescue their friends. They end up teaming up with Mega Man and Roll, who have traveled back in time to capture Willy.

The game has the layout of the classic Mega Man games. Each level has a Robot Master at the end, which gains you a new ability at the end. Players are able to choose which order they do levels in, with some masters being strong against others. Mega Man \ Roll's levels are more like a traditional Mega Man level while DK and Diddy are more like DKC. Mega Man equips Donkey Kong and Daddy Kong with special weapons that allows allows them use robot master powers. There are animal boxes, breaking them as DK or Diddy summons a classic DKC animal buddy, while doing so as Mega Man or Roll summons Beat, Rush, Tango, etc.

Challenge 13: Kirby & Bomberman: Explosive-Dream Planet

a mysterious entity decides to fusioning two planets from different universes, and these planets are popstar and planet bomber, meanwhile Kirby was taking a nap and White Bomberman is flying with his airship, until they get strange presence, their home planets are colising and becoming one planet and getting named of Bomber Dream, Kirby and White Bomberman met each other and they thought each other are enemies, but they make peace then, Kirby and White Bomberman get his own allies who aren't fusioned, for Kirby, Bandana Waddle Dee, Adeline and others are okay, and for White Bomberman, his brothers and Black Bomberman are same, but with some enemies are fusioned by the fusion of both planets.

The gameplay of this game is a isometric 3D platformer maze, and the player just controls both Kirby and White Bomberman in 2-in-1, both Kirby and Bomberman have a different moveset, Kirby inhale the enemies and copy their powers and White Bomberman makes and throws bombs of different types, and both can jump ,but the difference is White Bomberman have double jump and jump and floats flying, the bosses are some known characters who are fusioned or new characters.

1. Super Mario Land Rediscovered - The attention-to-detail here is just really fun. Maybe it feels like it's adding just a little too much to be "realistic", but I like that; it's a dream remake, and going hog-wild with it just makes so much sense.
2. Power Stone Fusion - This feels like a game I'd love to play. The idea of including a character we've only seen concept art of just adds a cherry on top, too - I love when that kind of stuff gets the spotlight.
3. Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl: Double Dared - Deliberately not adding other characters and having this as a NASB1 remake is certainly unique, but I like that approach, honestly - and there's clearly a lot of thought that's gone into it.​

This game is 3D, but grid-based and top-down in nature, taking influence from the traditional gameplay conventions of the Bomberman series but expanding them into something more akin to a top-down dungeon crawler. Rather than singular, small-scale mazes, Sapporopolis is split into districts that you can explore, each of which is under the control of a menacing opponent... but if you manage to beat them, you'll get their power for your own!

Attack Style: Super Bomber​ A bomb that can be placed at Bomberman's feet, which explodes after a set amount of time. The distinctive plus-shaped explosions can destroy enemies and objects alike, opening up new environments to explore! Not only this, but their blast power and radius can be enhanced with Weapon Up! capsules.	Attack Style: Mega Buster​ A weak projectile that can be fired along a particular direction, but can't travel through enemies in its base state. As a ranged option, it helps keep foes at bay, and can fire across gaps. Weapon Up! capsules unlock additional charge levels, which fire off much more powerful shots after a short charge time.
Secondary Skill: Kick​ Bomberman's got the unique ability to kick bombs around, but this also extends to certain types of movable object or even enemies - knocking them back a couple of tiles. With this vital tool to reposition foes, it can really help to ensure they're caught in the firestorms of your bombs!	Secondary Skill: Slide​ Mega Man's got a unique defensive skill, being able to briefly become intangible while performing a slide. Avoiding enemy fire or even passing right through them becomes a cakewalk, and can get you out of some tight spots that your otherwise range-based toolkit might struggle with!​

When on the level-select screen, you'll have the option to pick between Bomberman or Mega Man to take on a level. Their unique attack types can open up unique routes and secrets that only one or the other can access - but you can always explore the districts of Sapporopolis after taking down the big bosses. Think of this being loosely akin to progression and secret-hunting in something like Mighty Gunvolt Burst. That said; you can also play multi-player with the pair, so don't get too worked up about missing stuff.

Not only do their attack types open up new routes, they also play into one of the game's big gimmicks; Special Append. Defeating a Boss grants you their Special Weapon, which can be appended onto your weapon of choice - altering its properties accordingly. There's eight bosses you can get Special Weapons from, these being;

The game is a MetroidVania game and combines the Castle series with the Metroid series.
The plot is Dracula uses magic to connect the Metroid world with the Castle world. Samus and Alucard also switch places.
Samus does the castle levels, while Alucard does the space levels, and they unlock each others areas.
They have one final area together where they team up to defeat Dracula and restore the two worlds.

Ace Attorney in Dream Land

This would be a crossover between the Kirby and Ace Attorney series, mostly because I think the idea of Kirby in a courtroom setting is funny.

I know that aesthetically, Ace Attorney characters do not fit at all in the Kirby universe, but I think that's part of the appeal. It wouldn't take itself too seriously. This also wouldn't be canon to either series, but I'd hope that's a given.

Story:
​

One peaceful day on Planet Popstar, disaster strikes, as a crime wave sweeps across Dream Land! Various residents have been accused of comitting all manner of crimes! They all plead innocent, so King Dedede decides to put each of the accused on trial. Without any options for good lawyers, the residents turn to their hero, Kirby! Who... cannot read a legal document (or anything, for that matter). Not wanting to let his friends down, he somehow manages to find a Clockwork Star, which he uses to summon the greatest lawyer in the universe, Phoenix Wright (and Maya, too)

Phoenix and Maya are confused and lost, but agree to help Kirby with his predicament, though they'll need Kirby's help to navigate Planet Popstar and find evidence.

Gameplay:

The gameplay is divided into 2 parts: Forgotten Land-style 3D platformer levels, and typical Ace Attorney trial segments.

Kirby's levels will be more open-ended collectathon style, as opposed to being more linear, with Kirby needing to collect all the pieces of evidence in a given stage in order to complete it. He will have a time limit to do this, though, as he needs to find all of the evidence before the trial starts, otherwise they'll be found guilty.

After completing a stage, Kirby will bring the evidence to Phoenix and Maya, who will use it to try and prove their clients innocent. The trials are more biased than in Ace Attorney, as Dedede is the judge, and Escargoon is the prosecutor, and they are kind of peeved at Kirby for "interfering with the legal process". Still, they're honest enough to admit when proven wrong. Clients range from recurring Kirby characters like Bandana Dee and Meta Knight, to enemies, bosses and mini-bosses like Bronto Burt, Whispy Woods and Chef Kawasaki, to underused characters like Rick and Taranza.

For the final level, it is Kirby himself who has been accused of stealing all of King Dedede's food, and in order to ensure his victory, Dedede has summoned Miles Edgeworth to act as Prosecutor (Escargoon would be the judge this time).

After proving Kirby's innocence, Phoenix will realize the true culprit of the entire crime spree: Marx!

In one final level, Phoenix will be able to prove Marx is the true culprit of everything, but Marx doesn't respect the legal system, so Kirby is the one who'll have to beat him into submission in one final boss battle.

Mega Man & Donkey Kong : Metal-Monkey Business
After Mega Man foils Dr. Willy's latest plan, he attempts to create a new version of his Time Machine from Mega Man 2 and ends up stuck in a jungle in the past. There he discovers that potassium can fuel his robots, so he steals Donkey Kong's beloved banana horde and starts to take over Donkey Kong Island. He turns Donkey Kong's friends into new Robot Masters to serve him. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong set out to save their island home and rescue their friends. They end up teaming up with Mega Man and Roll, who have traveled back in time to capture Willy.

The game has the layout of the classic Mega Man games. Each level has a Robot Master at the end, which gains you a new ability at the end. Players are able to choose which order they do levels in, with some masters being strong against others. Mega Man \ Roll's levels are more like a traditional Mega Man level while DK and Diddy are more like DKC. Mega Man equips Donkey Kong and Daddy Kong with special weapons that allows allows them use robot master powers. There are animal boxes, breaking them as DK or Diddy summons a classic DKC animal buddy, while doing so as Mega Man or Roll summons Beat, Rush, Tango, etc.

a mysterious entity decides to fusioning two planets from different universes, and these planets are popstar and planet bomber, meanwhile Kirby was taking a nap and White Bomberman is flying with his airship, until they get strange presence, their home planets are colising and becoming one planet and getting named of Bomber Dream, Kirby and White Bomberman met each other and they thought each other are enemies, but they make peace then, Kirby and White Bomberman get his own allies who aren't fusioned, for Kirby, Bandana Waddle Dee, Adeline and others are okay, and for White Bomberman, his brothers and Black Bomberman are same, but with some enemies are fusioned by the fusion of both planets.

The gameplay of this game is a isometric 3D platformer maze, and the player just controls both Kirby and White Bomberman in 2-in-1, both Kirby and Bomberman have a different moveset, Kirby inhale the enemies and copy their powers and White Bomberman makes and throws bombs of different types, and both can jump ,but the difference is White Bomberman have double jump and jump and floats flying, the bosses are some known characters who are fusioned or new characters.

Rather than singular, small-scale mazes, Sapporopolis is split into districts that you can explore, each of which is under the control of a menacing opponent... but if you manage to beat them, you'll get their power for your own!

Attack Style: Super Bomber​ A bomb that can be placed at Bomberman's feet, which explodes after a set amount of time. The distinctive plus-shaped explosions can destroy enemies and objects alike, opening up new environments to explore! Not only this, but their blast power and radius can be enhanced with Weapon Up! capsules.	Attack Style: Mega Buster​ A weak projectile that can be fired along a particular direction, but can't travel through enemies in its base state. As a ranged option, it helps keep foes at bay, and can fire across gaps. Weapon Up! capsules unlock additional charge levels, which fire off much more powerful shots after a short charge time.
Secondary Skill: Kick​ Bomberman's got the unique ability to kick bombs around, but this also extends to certain types of movable object or even enemies - knocking them back a couple of tiles. With this vital tool to reposition foes, it can really help to ensure they're caught in the firestorms of your bombs!	Secondary Skill: Slide​ Mega Man's got a unique defensive skill, being able to briefly become intangible while performing a slide. Avoiding enemy fire or even passing right through them becomes a cakewalk, and can get you out of some tight spots that your otherwise range-based toolkit might struggle with!​

When on the level-select screen, you'll have the option to pick between Bomberman or Mega Man to take on a level. Their unique attack types can open up unique routes and secrets that only one or the other can access - but you can always explore the districts of Sapporopolis after taking down the big bosses. Think of this being loosely akin to progression and secret-hunting in something like Mighty Gunvolt Burst. That said; you can also play multi-player with the pair, so don't get too worked up about missing stuff.

Not only do their attack types open up new routes, they also play into one of the game's big gimmicks; Special Append. Defeating a Boss grants you their Special Weapon, which can be appended onto your weapon of choice - altering its properties accordingly. There's eight bosses you can get Special Weapons from, these being;

Metroid Vania
The game is a MetroidVania game and combines the Castle series with the Metroid series.
The plot is Dracula uses magic to connect the Metroid world with the Castle world. Samus and Alucard also switch places.
Samus does the castle levels, while Alucard does the space levels, and they unlock each others areas.
They have one final area together where they team up to defeat Dracula and restore the two worlds.

Ace Attorney in Dream Land

This would be a crossover between the Kirby and Ace Attorney series, mostly because I think the idea of Kirby in a courtroom setting is funny.

I know that aesthetically, Ace Attorney characters do not fit at all in the Kirby universe, but I think that's part of the appeal. It wouldn't take itself too seriously. This also wouldn't be canon to either series, but I'd hope that's a given.

Story:
​

One peaceful day on Planet Popstar, disaster strikes, as a crime wave sweeps across Dream Land! Various residents have been accused of comitting all manner of crimes! They all plead innocent, so King Dedede decides to put each of the accused on trial. Without any options for good lawyers, the residents turn to their hero, Kirby! Who... cannot read a legal document (or anything, for that matter). Not wanting to let his friends down, he somehow manages to find a Clockwork Star, which he uses to summon the greatest lawyer in the universe, Phoenix Wright (and Maya, too)

Phoenix and Maya are confused and lost, but agree to help Kirby with his predicament, though they'll need Kirby's help to navigate Planet Popstar and find evidence.

Gameplay:
​

The gameplay is divided into 2 parts: Forgotten Land-style 3D platformer levels, and typical Ace Attorney trial segments.

Kirby's levels will be more open-ended collectathon style, as opposed to being more linear, with Kirby needing to collect all the pieces of evidence in a given stage in order to complete it. He will have a time limit to do this, though, as he needs to find all of the evidence before the trial starts, otherwise they'll be found guilty.

After completing a stage, Kirby will bring the evidence to Phoenix and Maya, who will use it to try and prove their clients innocent. The trials are more biased than in Ace Attorney, as Dedede is the judge, and Escargoon is the prosecutor, and they are kind of peeved at Kirby for "interfering with the legal process". Still, they're honest enough to admit when proven wrong. Clients range from recurring Kirby characters like Bandana Dee and Meta Knight, to enemies, bosses and mini-bosses like Bronto Burt, Whispy Woods and Chef Kawasaki, to underused characters like Rick and Taranza.

For the final level, it is Kirby himself who has been accused of stealing all of King Dedede's food, and in order to ensure his victory, Dedede has summoned Miles Edgeworth to act as Prosecutor (Escargoon would be the judge this time).

After proving Kirby's innocence, Phoenix will realize the true culprit of the entire crime spree: Marx!

In one final level, Phoenix will be able to prove Marx is the true culprit of everything, but Marx doesn't respect the legal system, so Kirby is the one who'll have to beat him into submission in one final boss battle.

Challenge #14: Create a Fishing Game

For this challenge, I think I'll try turning the concept on its ear.

Fishing for Humans

Not much is known about how mermaids lure humans. Some say they climb on jagged rocks and sing beautiful melodies. Others tempt beachcombers with fanciful presents. This story invites a new take on it: Namely, how some mermaids go fishing for their captive audience. Yes, fishing.

There are three modes: Easy mode lets you play as a cecelia, who uses their tentacles to drag humans into their domain. Normal mode lets you play as a regular fish-tailed mermaid, using standard fishing equipment to reel humans in. Hard mode, on the other hand, lets you play as a jellyfish mermaid, who must also respect the ocean currents along the way.

After completing each level, a cutscene plays where you take your captured humans to the ruler of the oceans, who transforms them into merfolk. This invites a more casual side to the game, which takes after Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon, in which you take these newly-transformed merfolk and teach them the ways of the water.

By the end of the game, the mermaid population has doubled in size, allowing for more challenging areas to be unlocked, culminating in the finale, where aliens arrive to conquer the planet, only for the mermaid population to try and catch intergalactic forces in the same ways they've done for humanity.

The game comes with two endings. The good ending has the merfolk population gain access to alien technology, allowing them to spread out into outer space, which doubles as a potential teaser for a sequel. The bad ending has the aliens decide to blow up the entire planet, not only dooming humanity, but also the mythical creatures they inhabit as well.​

Final Fishing Fantasy
A game inspired by the infamous fishing mini-games from Final Fantasy XV but with characters from across the Final Fantasy franchise. Players can play solo or now can also play multiplayer against other players, attempting to catch better and more valuable fish. Players pick a character to play as, with each character having a special ability that will effect their fishing in some way, such as Cloud being able to use Buster to scatter fish, Tidus being able to slow time, and more. You can trade fish for Gil, with different fish gifting different amounts. There's a moggle will sell you new bait and items which you equip to your rod. There are maps taken from across the Final Fantasy

The game also features a story more which mixes RPG mechanics with fishing. The story tells of an ancient crystalline civilization that sank under the sea centuries ago and the powerful fish god that ruled it. Seeking to use this power, the gods Cosmos and Chaos once again assemble their champions and engage in a fishing contest in order to gain this power. You choose a team of characters and travel across the land, recruiting characters and getting into fishing contests with NPCS and other characters. There are also a few boss battles in which you must use your fishing rod against the boss. The game also features an original version of series staple Cid, A master fisherman who will build you new Rods and Boats.

It's such an interesting approach to combining the concepts at play in both series, and while I totally would never have thought something like this would work... idk, as described it seems like it'd be a really fun, bizarre thing.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #XC - I really like the concept behind this, even if Mirage Sessions really came out of left field for what it was - and the idea of focusing on the food industry seems like it'd potentially lend to a ton of interesting concepts. Maybe a little more exploration would be nice, but it's a cool idea - and one that didn't occur to me!
3. Mega Man & Donkey Kong: Metal-Monkey Business - The idea of the different Kongs as mechanised Robot Masters is such a creative one, and the time machine concept feels like a fairly natural way to make it all make some degree of sense, which is a neat touch.

Shoutout to the MetroidVania submission, though - I'd love to have seen a little more exploration of what it'd look like, because the concept alone is just such a fascinating one!

Pitch #014: Ever heard of blast fishing? Let's take it one step further, with Blast Fishing: Ocean Warfare. Basically, this would be a turn-based strategy game.

You're the commander of a fleet of new fishing boats called the Greenhorns, having entered the Open Ocean in search of riches. However, the Open Ocean's got something weird about it... everyone fishes with explosives! You'll need to use your limited fleet and cache of explosives to collect schools of fish, clear obstacles and hazards, and potentially even sabotage your opponents - but be careful, because each scenario has your opponents doing the same!

(For context; explosives work with timed fuses, which tick down after every turn. However, they can be chained together into subsequent blasts even if their fuse isn't up yet. This means the environment is likely to quickly fill up with bombs, so be sure to try and find safe places of refuge!)

Between rounds, you'll be able to spend the money you earn from fishing to upgrade your fleet, pay for more fuel and explosives, and perhaps even buy intel on the next scenario with elements like weather, speculated fish prices, and so forth. Then, after preparing, set out to try and net as much fish as you can - with different fish types earning more based on supply and demand.

Not only this, but different ships have different stats, passives, and abilities to bear in mind - as well as new explosive types granting different properties (like fuse lengths, blast power, or unique effects) - and that's not including equipment that might help in certain scenarios, like fog lights, sonar systems, and so forth. Of course, you'll need to be sure to balance the money coming in and the money going out - or you'll end up drowning in debt!

In essence; Minesweeper meets Battleship, with Rogue-like elements. Sorry for the lack of visuals...

Big's Big Fishing Quest

Finally a game for the greatest Sonic character, Big the Cat!

A local fishing competition is going on in Station Square, with a Chaos Emerald as the prize! Now, Big isn't typically one for a competition, but after his buddy Froggy swallows the Chaos Emerald, Big is forced to compete in order to win back his pollywog pal.

Gameplay:​

The story campaign is structured into rounds where Big must compete against a different character to catch a specific list of fish within the time limit. Each round will have a different shaped pond with a different number of fish, and different obstacles such as rocks or plants, in a different setting. You'll start out having to only catch one fish or multiple fish of the same type, but eventually you'll have to catch multiple fish of varying different types.

The basic fishing gameplay is fairly simple. In order to catch your desired fish, you'll need to aim the rod at where the fish you want, and press the right button combination at the right moment. Smaller fish will only have you press one button, but the larger fish will have you press more elaborate combinations. If you go too long without getting the fish to bite your rod, the desired fish may move, in which case you'll have to pull back your rod and adjust it's position.

There is also different types of bait purchasable at the store. Different fish are attracted to different types of bait, and you can swap out different types of bait on the fly to get different types of fish.

Your opponent will also be trying to catch the same fish as you. There are multiple of each fish in the pond, but if your opponent gets all of their fish before you, you'll lose. There are also fish Badniks in the pond, who will be actively heading towards your rod and will slow you down if they grab it, but they can also work to your advantage by grabbing your opponent's rod.

Winning a round will award you with rings that you can use to buy different kinds of bait, as well as costumes for Big and items for your AquaChao Garden (see below)

Story:​

The fishing tournament will be presented as a live tv broadcast, with Omochao acting as a reporter.

Each of your opponents will be an original character, each with their own backstory and reason for competing in the tournament, told via interviews with Omochao. They will also have pre-match banter with Big, where he throws them off with his carefree attitude, unaffected by their snide remarks.

The only opponent who is an established character is the final boss, Dr. Eggman himself, who shows up to claim the Chaos Emerald, only to accidentally release Froggy, who jumps into the nearby pond.

Final Boss:​

Big and Eggman must compete against eachother in an attempt to catch Froggy, who is the only non-Badnik creature in the pond, but is constantly moving around the pond quickly, and is unaffected by bait, so you must line up your rod perfectly to catch him. Additionally, as Badniks are loyal to Dr. Eggman, they will only go after you.

Extra Modes:​

Challenge Mode: A harder version of the main campaign with less time, more fish to catch, etc. Unlocked after beating the main campaign.

Free Mode: Replay each level with no time limit or opponents, to try and catch as many fish as possible. Each stage is made available in this mode after completed in the main campaign

Multiplayer: A second player controls the opponent! Includes both local and online.

AquaChao Garden: A garden that houses a unique variety of Chao that live in the water. Can be given any of the fish caught to absorb their attributes, as well as accessories bought at the store that can increase stats or just look cute. Minigames include Chao Races, as well as Chao Jousting, replacing Karate. Both are underwater. There are various unlockable garden based on water levels of various Sonic games such as Labyrinth Zone and Aquatic Ruin Zone.

Big's Big Fish Journal: A Piklopedia-like journal of each fish Big has caught, with various pictures and a description containing Big's thoughts for each fish. Completing the journal will unlock a metallic Big skin (Sonic Heroes reference).

The story campaign is structured into rounds where Big must compete against a different character to catch a specific list of fish within the time limit. Each round will have a different shaped pond with a different number of fish, and different obstacles such as rocks or plants, in a different setting. You'll start out having to only catch one fish or multiple fish of the same type, but eventually you'll have to catch multiple fish of varying different types.

The basic fishing gameplay is fairly simple. In order to catch your desired fish, you'll need to aim the rod at where the fish you want, and press the right button combination at the right moment. Smaller fish will only have you press one button, but the larger fish will have you press more elaborate combinations. If you go too long without getting the fish to bite your rod, the desired fish may move, in which case you'll have to pull back your rod and adjust it's position.

There is also different types of bait purchasable at the store. Different fish are attracted to different types of bait, and you can swap out different types of bait on the fly to get different types of fish.

Your opponent will also be trying to catch the same fish as you. There are multiple of each fish in the pond, but if your opponent gets all of their fish before you, you'll lose. There are also fish Badniks in the pond, who will be actively heading towards your rod and will slow you down if they grab it, but they can also work to your advantage by grabbing your opponent's rod.

Winning a round will award you with rings that you can use to buy different kinds of bait, as well as costumes for Big and items for your AquaChao Garden (see below)

Story:​

The fishing tournament will be presented as a live tv broadcast, with Omochao acting as a reporter.

Each of your opponents will be an original character, each with their own backstory and reason for competing in the tournament, told via interviews with Omochao. They will also have pre-match banter with Big, where he throws them off with his carefree attitude, unaffected by their snide remarks.

The only opponent who is an established character is the final boss, Dr. Eggman himself, who shows up to claim the Chaos Emerald, only to accidentily release Froggy, who jumps into the nearby pond.

Final Boss:​

Big and Eggman must compete against eachother in an attempt to catch Froggy, who is the only non-Badnik creature in the pond, but is constantly moving around the pond quickly, and is unaffected by bait, so you must line up your rod perfectly to catch him. Additionally, as Badniks are loyal to Dr. Eggman, they will only go after you.

Extra Modes:​

Challenge Mode: A harder version of the main campaign with less time, more fish to catch, etc. Unlocked after beating the main campaign.

Free Mode: Replay each level with no time limit or opponents, to try and catch as many fish as possible. Each stage is made available in this mode after completed in the main campaign

Multiplayer: A second player controls the opponent! Includes both local and online.

AquaChao Garden: A garden that houses a unique variety of Chao that live in the water. Can be given any of the fish caught to absorb their attributes, as well as accessories bought at the store that can increase stats or just look cute. Minigames include Chao Races, as well as Chao Jousting, replacing Karate. Both are underwater. There are various unlockable garden based on water levels of various Sonic games such as Labyrinth Zone and Aquatic Ruin Zone.

Big's Big Fish Journal: A Piklopedia like journal of each fish Big has caught, with various pictures and a description containing Big's thoughts for each fish. Completing the journal will unlock a metallic Big skin (Sonic Heroes reference).
