In this game, the players aim by choosing one of eight directions to shoot using a second joystick separate from the one that controls movement. It was quite a revolutionary game for its time. For shooting games overseas, it's common to see games that utilize the left stick to move around and the right to determine the direction to shoot, so we can say the origin of modern shooting games was this game--which is pretty remarkable."

For a second I thought this was the guy from that one NES game that actually had nudity, and you were like some cowboy trying to dodge a few obstacles so you can get to the naked woman on the other side and get it on with her. Or something along those lines.

Like I genuinely thought it was him for a moment and was like "WHAT".

I guess this is the last PotD before it comes out in the US, as it will be midnight before tomorrow's PotD. We in Australia still have tomorrow's pic to look forward to before the release though.

When I first saw this ingame, I actually laughed a bit. Every time I see it, I can't help but giggle. It looks so ridiculous when it moves around. It's like it's struggling to hit its opponent. So cute, yet goofy (and deadly) when it tries.

Everybody don't forget abot the new character trailer tomorrow. My guess is it's going to be for Duck Hunt Duo (seems to be the likeliest one), as they and Bowser Jr. are the last two newcomers (unless the Forbidden Four are on the Wii U version).

Sheriff would have been a cool playable retro rep. Duck Hunt Duo is totally awesome, but I think a modernized Sheriff would have been really interesting too. Good to see he is at least an assist.

Sheriff is a really important game. I think it was the first that Myamoto worked on? First game with a Cutscene if I remember right. Anyways, nice to see a throw back to it.

IDK why but Sherriff is super nostalgic to me despite not ever actually playing his game. I played it in WarioWare though. BTW, they changed the icon for the Smash community.

I was laughing when I saw this assist in action on the 3DS.

Yeah, its look very crappy and stupid. its very LoL.

Until, I saw him K.O. Opponent like in 1 hit, Shooting deadly bullets everywhere or do combo forming a wall of pain. This guy is no joke.

Though the only issue with that is the fact that his pistol needs to be less realistic considering why Snake wasn't allowed to use them. As for Duck Hunt, let's just say that 8-Bit guns aren't remotely considered threatening.
