Smash Wii U & 3DS director Masahiro Sakurai says "Here's Ike, Marth and...a brand new stage!"

Sakurai continues, "We've added a familiar setting from the Fire Emblem series, the Coliseum. In the original game, this place is filled with both hope and despair. There is machinery in the ground that activates variable platforms."​

Hate this stage. It's not from the only two US console Fire Emblems. I wanted a stage from them so badly.

I like this stage, its a faithful recreation of the GBA arena... with some new things added, obviously. (Its similar to Shadow Dragon as well, but still quite a bit different.)

I'd have preferred a Radiant Dawn/Path of Radiance stage, but this is a good representation of Fire Emblem as a whole (way better than the generic Castle Siege).

I've been playing fe:a a lot lately and while i like crom and lucinathey do play a lot like ike and marth. Not to mention Lucina dresses like marth.

Robin would be great for the sword/magic combo and being able to play both genders.

What we really need is the best character in the game though... Donnel!

I'm definitely going to miss the stage transformations from SSBB's Castle Siege, but I'm more than content with this one. ^-^

I like the stage, its flat first like FD, then there will be variable platforms. OMG this stage is the best for competitive players cuz its viable for all character, as stage changes. as long as its not a moving stage and nothing too crazy on the platforms like pokemon stadium, where there is slopes/wind/mountains,etc....

While it looks like a walk off and is probably banned competitively, I don't really care about that. What I care about is that this stage looks awesome and I'm going to be playing it anyways. The ability to make platforms APPEAR is a really cool concept. It's like Peach's Castle from melee except without annoying bullet bill bombs. Anyways, I'm definitely going to like this stage. It looks great.

Lucina didn't exist at the time of prior Smash Bros. games... If anything, they probably redesigned Marth to look closer to Lucina on purpose so he can represent Awakening (or so Lucina can be an alt of Marth).

I really like this addition! Honestly, I feel kind of stupid for not thinking of the Coliseum earlier when predicting what kind of stage Fire Emblem would get for the Wii U version. This was a great choice by the team to use this venue to represent the series in a game like Smash Bros.
