Okay, but what about the fact that local wireless is not considered "online?"You would have to select the "online" menu to play game modes online. Rather than selecting a game mode and then choosing online or offline this game has it so that there is an "online" menu (seen in the screenshot) where you then select what game mode you want to play while online.
Good question. I don't know. But it is confirmed that you'll be able to play Smash Run over local wireless multiplayer. They did it at E3.Okay, but what about the fact that local wireless is not considered "online?"
My only real thought is that this screen was from earlier in development, like it was a special, dev-only single player mode they used for testing/debugging or something. In GameXplain's weekly discussion, they were pretty confused by it as well, so who knows why it's like that. Or maybe, and this is just popping into my head now, you have to unlock the multiplayer aspect of Smash Run. That seems odd, but then again, the pic itself was odd, so I don't know.Good question. Perhaps the bottom screen is dynamic and the message changes over time, displaying different information.
Challenges comes from Brawl, it's the game's achievement system. It's called Clear Getter in Japan.Good to know this isn't the full menu. "Smash" is probably gonna have classic, versus, and other stuff in there. Wonder if "Challenge" is the new "Event Mode" or another checklist like Air Ride and KI:U. Also wonder if they are bringing back game demos like they did in Brawl in "Games & More" (still gonna contain the new trophy minigame either way).
im getting bothWii U connectivity? And Games (Trophy Rush)? Dayum, guess I gotta buy both versions.
You probably have to select it and THEN choose how you want to play it. (Online, Local, or vs. Computer)It has been confirmed that Smash Run has local play and online play. I'm really confused about why it doesn't state that on the main menu.
That's hilarious, because I was on vacation last week as well and looked ALL day Saturday for a PotD and was thinking "oooh, he must be announcing something important because he's waiting so long!"Ugh, this i what vacation does to you. I forgot it's the weekend :/
Thanks for clearing that up
When was this confirmed? It has been confirmed that Smash Run has local play and online play. I'm really confused about why it doesn't state that on the main menu.
The menu itself is on the top screen, unlike Uprising, so I'm fairly sure this ain't happening.Regardless, I like the menu it looks sweet. I hope they treat it like Uprising and let you hold and move the icons around.
Thats a bummer, they should flip, but thats just me.The menu itself is on the top screen, unlike Uprising, so I'm fairly sure this ain't happening.
Plus there isn't much going on in the bottom screen so this wouldn't be as nice of an easter egg.
