Hello everyone, there will be a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct on October 24 2018 at 7 a.m. Pacific Time and is supposed to be around 25 minutes long. I have sources that told me what will be shown in this direct.
- A trailer starting off with Bowser crossing a bridge towards a volcano. The volcano starts rumbling, and rumbles even more, then Incineroar jumps out of the volcano onto the bridge. Incineroar splash art appears “Incineroar Brings the Heat!” Incineroar’s moves are shown off, and his final smash is Malicious Moonsault. At the end of the trailer, Bowser charges toward Incineroar, and Incineroar uses Darkest Lariat and sends Bowser flying away.
- Sakurai appears and talks about Incineroar, and reveals that Aether Paradise from Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon will be a new stage.
- Two new stages. The first is Crafted World from the upcoming game, Yoshi’s Crafted World. The second is Resolution Road from Kirby: Planet Robobot.
- New items (Pokémon, assist trophies, etc.)
- Another character reveal. The trailer begins with Ryu meditating in a forest area. Next, Ganondorf creeps up behind Ryu, then Ganondorf sneaks up and punches Ryu. Ganondorf then grabs Ryu by the shirt and as Ganondorf was about to hit him, Ken shows up and uses Hadoken. Then Ken’s splash art appears “Ken Takes up the Challenge!” Ken’s moves are shown off, and his final smash is Guren Senpukyaku. At the end of the trailer, Ganondorf gets up and brings out his sword then rushes towards Ken; Ryu kicks the swords out of Ganondorf’s hand and then Ken does the Shoryuken on Ganondorf, then Ganondorf lays defeated on the ground; Ryu and Ken do fist bumps and walk away.
- Sakurai talks about Ken, and says that Ken is an echo fighter of Ryu. Also, Battle Harbor from Street Fighter 2 will be a new stage.
- Returning modes (smash run, all-star, etc.)
- Spirits is the new story mode. The story starts out with the villains such as Bowser, Ridley, Mewtwo, and others capturing the hero characters spirits, and putting each character in separate locations. The only ones who didn’t get captured are Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, and Pikachu. The 8 of them have to rescue each character, and they will encounter the villains in battle. Also, there will be bosses, and two of them are Hades and Rathalos. Verdant Hills from Monster Hunter Generations is confirmed as a new playable stage and will be in Spirits as well. All of the stages in Spirits come from the stages in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Brinstar, Luigi’s Mansion, Reset Bomb Forest, The Great Cave Offensive, Dracula’s Castle, and many more stages will be in the story.
- Sakurai says bye, the screen goes black, and then a trailer appears with a certain character on the way. I can’t say who it is, but it is a Square Enix character.
