Typically held at majors, crew battles are a community-wide tradition. They transform the game into a team-based affair that never fails to bring excitement to both participants and spectators. But when you think about it, you primarily see teams made up of men.
Smash Sisters, an organization led by Lilian "Milktea" Chen and Emily "EmilyWaves" Sun, was formed with the purpose of giving female Smashers a chance to compete against one another in a series of crew battles. As a progressive movement, it has helped foster more female players into the scene.
At Genesis 4 on January 21, Smash Sisters will be celebrating its 1-year anniversary with a bang. Details for the event can be seen in the infographic below.
