Because, Frank. Like they're saying, brackets should be seeded with the best people playing the worst people in the first round for proper placement. That wasn't the case with your match. Or other matches, for that matter.
So I should have played someone like freddy?? It seems to me like it should just be a random thing, but i guess that wouldnt be very fair. Why are u still awake?

There is no "right" way to seed a smash tournament. Just ways that people prefer they be seeded. Never hurts to experiment every once in a while.

The tournament was fun to spectate. It was refreshing to go to a tournament without actually doing anything during it. I was able to watch every match I wanted to, and I really felt I learned a lot about Melee from watching everything, especially the grand finals. I had a lot of fun at Kyle's house after the tournament where I got to play everyone with my scrubby Marth. =)
