Regarding the video game characters I want as newcomers to the Super Smash Bros. series, I think about what forms Kirby would have from them and what he would look like (which is not hard to imagine). Another thing I think about with these characters is what symbols they would have, although for some characters who are well-known like Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat franchise we all know what symbol he would have.

I like a lot of these choices (Especially it's always nice to see Daitoryo support, Cause I don't see it often.)
The Last Of Us is like, The last Sony series that i'd want to get represented though. (And it's not entirely because of me just not liking it.)
Just seems like the least fitting, Least interesting moveset, Less history than other Sony series.
Sorry for being a hater I just think there could maybe be some other Sony characters instead of three TLOU ones.
But this is like, Your personal wanted characters so my opinion doesn't really matter.

People, a Fire Emblem villain is obvious.

Alear with her Cola-chan outfit.
I do hope that if we get either Alear and/or Veronica with alts for their former selves, that they do an Ike and give them different tones/personality differences for them.

Pepsiwoman has a Coke outfit too?

you can tell I'm only interested in Alear as a Trojan horse for getting older FE characters to be playable

Bonus points if all the voice lines are different when you go from Pepsi to Coke. And even more if the Emblems are ref too. :4pacman:

Also, that FEH art goes so hard. Flaming hands are such a cool touch.

Honestly with red Alear, I would also kinda hope that like the Final Smash would be at least aesthetically different to reflect the difference? Kinda like how Cloud has Omnislash Ver. 5 visually when wearing the Advent Children costumes, but it does the same total damage and knockback.

Now at some point I'm thinking about replacing the characters in The Last of Us with some others and those "replacements" will be the Battletoads.

I feel like they’d actually work great as alts of each other based on the classic games and Rash’s Killer Instinct moveset. In the first game and Battletoads & Double Dragon, all the toads played identically to each other so there’s precedent. You’d have to use Zitz as the base size and scale Rash up and Pimple down so they can work as alts but that’s fine too. Their sprites were the same size in those two early games so there’s precedent there too.

That is, all three should be alternate costumes among themselves and each of them should have four colors so that their alternate costumes are 12?

That could work if they allow more costume slots (which they should). If they stick to 8 for some reason, I’d give Zitz and Pimple 3 each and Rash 2. Rash generally looks the same between games but Zitz and Pimple have had the most variations. Zitz has been three different colors. He’s tan in the NES sprite, pale lime green in Battlemaniacs, and teal in everything since. Pimple was green in his NES sprite and reddish brown since. Rash has always been the same green. Sometimes they have black spots and sometimes they have no spots so there’s certainly enough to work with for a full 12 costumes.

I'll put Zitz in and even though the other squares won't have Pimple and Rash, it doesn't mean they won't count because they'll be the alternate costumes, but on the other hand I'm thinking of finding a photo of all three of them together to show that the other two Battletoads are there, what do you think?

I used Rash as the picture on my select screen. Zitz is the leader but Rash is the most popular so it’s kind of a toss up. There are a few pictures of all together but your image is so small I’d just go with one.

If you know anything about TMNT, Zitz is basically a fusion of Donatello and Leonardo (leaning Donny) where Rash is a fusion of Michelangelo and Raphael (leaning Mikey). Pimple is kind of his own thing and doesn’t really feel like any of the turtles. He’s actually pretty much Rise of the TMNT Raphael.

Almost all of my favorite Fire Emblem characters have no realistic shot of ever making it in Smash since they’re pretty much all supporting characters. The only one that has much a chance is the Black Knight.

Here’s a few of my favorites from the games I’ve played (I’ll bold my number one favorite from each game):

PoR/RD: Naesala, Lucia, Zihark, the Black Knight, Soren, Shinon, Tibarn, Petrine

Awakening: Tharja, Lon’qu, Robin, Panne, Say’ri, Lissa, Noire, Nowi

Fates: Rhinka, Rhajat, Kaze, Shura, Ryoma, Saizo, Kagero, Oboro, Beruka, Orochi

Three Hopes: Petra, Shamir, Catherine. Felix, Dimitri, Edelgard, Bernadetta
Bernadetta not being in smash at all in any capacity is 100% in character because she would be hiding in her bedroom.

So should I just put Zitz? However, I'm thinking of including Zero as well since he's the second most famous character in the Mega Man franchise. As for the last square, I have a character in mind even though he's not famous, although on the other hand I'm thinking about it. Also, if any of these characters come to Super Smash Bros. 6, then I'll delete them from the roster I made and replace them with others.

Either Rash or Zitz would be fine. Go with Zitz if you’d rather.

I feel like a cutscene actually works for Alear due to all the Engage attacks, so you can have two entirely different cutscenes, one where [Engage endgame spoilers] Alear uses their own Emblem form's Engage Attack while the red alts get a completely different thing

You know I really felt like Goku was already in Super Smash Flash 2.
He was, he's been in the game since version 0.7 I think, looking it up.

I assume his trailer at the start was for like a rework, since a few characters have had reworks in the game's history, like how the end of Dedede's trailer was a trailer for a Lloyd resprite.

Yeah, resprites tend to get their own trailers.

Yeah, I haven't played Smash Flash 2 in years so I was like "It's at least a resprite, if not a rework" because I don't remember Goku having Bayo-esque midair combo attacks, but I might be remembering wrong.

And I'm sure it's at least a resprite/update because when Goku was added to Smash Flash 2 in 0.7 (which came out in 2011, good lord), Super Saiyan Blue didn't exist yet lol

Moveset updates are only getting trailers if they're paired with resprites. That's why Tails didn't get a full trailer.

TFW when SSF2 is the first Smash Bros... ANYTHING (Fangame or otherwise) to have the ENTIRE Dream Team selectable as playable characters...View attachment 402528
Haven't been tuned into SSF2 in a long time, so I didn't know about the little Dedede symbol on Bandana Dee's bandana. It's a cute touch, but I'm not sure if it's fitting for his current character. BWD started out as Dedede's minion, but by now he's been depicted hanging out with Kirby more than Dedede. Still, I like the idea of his bandana having different symbols. Maybe we could slip it in for a couple of alts?

Not about symbols necessarily, but I've always thought it would be fun if Bandana could have like Sailor Dee as an alt, alongside the green, yellow, and unused cyan colors from Rainbow Curse.

I remember when BWD was an Assist Trophy in SSF2, a long time ago. It was so long ago that his AT was based entirely on his appearance in Super Star Ultra… you know, when he didn’t have his spear and was pretty much a joke boss, and his AT was equally pitiful.

Interestingly, instead of the Dedede logo he has in SSF2 now, he had a golden “W” on his bandana (apparently just standing for Waddle?)

Pac-man also used to be an AT in SSF2, btw.

I remember Mega Man having a Monado-like wheel that changed which projectile special he'd use.

Such a wild moveset idea that ended up getting watered down in favor of "official moveset but not quite"
