Any more details about the rules?

Is this 1vs1 or free for alls?

Double elimination?

Time limit?

Are the items off, or just the hammer, tomato, heart and star?

What stages are banned, if any?

And the twenty one and over? Is this a competitive tournament or more of a kick back kind of thing?

I might consider it, depending on how your final rules come out.

Go to the 64 forums and ask around for some tips concerning the rules.

As Qzzy pointed out, there is NO information on rules. If you had standard 64 tournament rules then I'd definitely go :]]

Neutrals: Hyrule Castle, Dreamland, Kongo Jungle, Peach's Castle
Counter picks: Saffron City
Banned: Brinstar, Mushroom Kingdom Sector Z

No items
All characters allowed
5 stock
no time limit

Maybe calling Isai out? To SoCal?
I REALLY hope so :D

I called the TO a couple hours ago, he won't give out the address unless you're a lock to attend. So call, say you're going, and get the address that way.

Sorry, I didn't ask about the rules.

oh, and I did say that if it was all ages attendance would rise.

The surveys are based on the people who call and register.
The more registrations received, the more polls are received, then rules are subject to change.

the only rules on the table so far are the levels, but so far saffron is still out.

Like i said, we are a pretty laid back group looking forward to awesome games.
There is no reason for petty comments (petty meaning: having or showing narrow ideas or interests, etc)

For those who still want in
PLEASE CALL AND REGISTER WHILE SEATS ARE AVAILABLE (WE HAVE 23 OF 32 SPOTS TAKEN)
you can call or text me at (818) 458-4822 (WITH FULL NAME, NUMBER, AND ANY RULE REQUESTS)
my name is Chris.
Thanks everyone =)

New Update:

(2v2) Doubles are IN

we are thinking:
- Since there are only a few teams, Doubles will start before Singles.
- Entree fee $10 each team mate ($20 per team)
- Single Elimination
- As for game play rules, Singles Rules apply.

*let us know what you think.. majority of polls still change rules

+ We are still taking registers for both 1v1s and 2v2s

Thanks everyone

also: don't forget guys, they're taking 15% of the pot, meaning, they're getting as much as second place without even placing!
also: we are throwing the event which is costing us money out of our own pockets.

Not that i should have to get into this Mike but we've put a lot of money and time as it is for this tournament. (15% of 320 is only $48) and that doesn't even cover us back on food and drinks, let alone the creation and printing of fliers and rentals of equipment.
So please be a bit more understanding.. we are not doing this for the money.

thanks

By the way anyone using the greyhound to get here, the Glendale station would be easiest for us to pick you up. And anyone using the Metro, The Gold Line has an Allen station that you can take and it would take us literally 3 mins to pick you up from there.

You guys should make this a bi or tri-weekly. The world needs more n64 tourneys (especially in SoCal)

I wouldn't mind paying for some of the expenses

pro-tip: most tournaments that offer a venue that needs to be paid, or food, don't take out of the pot, they instead charge a reasonable venue fee between the price of $3-$5. that way, the winners get what they deserve.
