I never got the interest in female Link at all.

Well that's not entirely true. I do get why some people would like the opportunity to chose to play as a female Link at the beginning of Zelda games because they identify with that better and Link is a player avatar.

But beyond that, I don't understand the general interest at all. The idea of a female Link is incredibly boring. Because Link is boring. I mean I don't dislike Link or anything but he's basically a block of wood. That's what he's supposed to be, an empty shell. And I've never found myself saying "you know, if I could have a female version of this block of wood, that'd just make my day". Plus one of the very few characteristics that Link actually has is that he's very feminine seeming for a male lead in a mainstream game, and usually when people genderswap him they just make female Link equally feminine to male Link which is a pretty standard degree of femininity for a female character which actually just makes the character more boring.

And I like genderswaps. I like genderswaps a lot, I think they can be really interesting. But Link is one of the worst characters to genderswap I can think of.

I really like the direction they went with this character design. It reminds me of Lucina. Yes, she's a female warrior but they don't overly shove it in your face with the design to cater to fanboy desires.

Yes. This is what I'm actually happy about the most.

Unfortunately though, the swarm of Rule 34 as WB brought up is inevitable. Just happy she'll at least have a nice design in-game. I'll avoid Google Images.

So after extensive testing I have determined I have about 5 songs on my iPod that are good to listen to while playing Smash. I can't use 5 songs for an entire two matches tournament. Time to start looking for more...

I actually do agree with this. Seems redundant in Hyrule Warriors too. You get all these kickass female characters; Impa, Midna, Ruto, Agitha, Sheik and Zelda herself...all of which I'm looking forward to playing more than Link. Or girl Link.

If they decide to roll with this for regular Zelda games allowing you to pick a gendered avatar, then I'm alright with it, but it seems redundant in the game with the best female cast of Zelda characters available as playable.

Since Link is the character I look forward to playing as the most, I'm definitely hopeful for Female Link DLC. On the other hand, I wish they had gone with the stronger looking woman Link in the corner instead of the "I'm so cutesy" Link in the foreground that looks less like a girl and more like OoT Young Link.

As you can see that I’m the one, the one that asked you for some villainous fun!"

"There’s something I really don’t like about you. Is it something old? Is it something new? You literally remind me of my silly sisters that had bashed my rhyming, in which I had smashed them for failing my quiz instead of trying. Why don’t you lighten up for once woman, instead of being so serious like you hadn’t seen me coming? You not only have Mingella’s sore eardrums, but also Blobbelda’s shapely bosoms!"

"What’s the matter, cat got your tongue? Because if you couldn’t attack me fast enough, then you must really feel like Breegull dung. You should be happy for being gifted with such a body, since my very first goal was to become quite the hottie.
