I'm probably the only person here who likes MegaMence.

Megas are a double edged sword in terms of concepts in my opinion.
On one hand, they feel like a way to bring up Pokemon that haven't been good in a long time. Like a second chance at living.
On the other, they feel like a way to make Pokemon look even cooler. And this is evident in Pokemon like Mewtwo and Charizard. Really, Mewtwo didn't need to be any more broken as it already is, let along two. And with that said why did Charizard also get two when the other starters only got one?

Same here, it seems more like they're trying to make it a marketing ploy then an actual mechanic at the moment as it's been subject to favoritism and pandering, particularly when it comes to Charizard and Mewtwo. Plus, it doesn't help that some of the Megas they've introduced are very poorly balanced, which makes the mechanic even more poorly implemented into the game.

OMG. Imagine Mega Salamence. Now imagine looking at the dragon from a bird eye's view. From the wings, head and head spikes position, I'm seeing this:
