On a more serious note, I can agree with Cyril from Wreck It Ralph that "Labels don't make you feel happy." Any one can gamer no matter what group, demographic, or age they fall in.

In other news, that NBC show "Heroes" is making a comeback. It's coming out in 2015 and it's renamed as Heroes Reborn. I didn't watch it much myself. But for those that might have been interested in it, well it's coming back.

I saw only the "Heroes" part and for a split second I thought we were getting a new No More Heroes.
Dammit. It's just another show I care less about.

I mean, you guys do realize you're giving the exact kind of reaction this video was made to give, right? Do you really want to discuss things so badly that you'll intentionally fall for that kind of bait just to have something to talk about? Really? Is that really worth it?

Supposedly, it's someone who plays games.

The mark of distinction for most people is whether a person falls under the 'hardcore' label. People can play Madden, Call of Duty, Wii Sports, Pac-Man, Tetris, and others and not consider themselves gamers since a case can be made for the broad cultural appeal of those games; whereas games with lesser notoriety or belonging to more niche genre might place someone in the category of 'gamer'. It's the same difference between people who watch movies and a movie goer: the level of invested interest. People like us who post on message boards are motivated by an interest in the topic we are discussing, so our knowledge and perceived acuity on games is going to be much higher than those who do not share that same interest. That would place us in the role of a hobbyist -- to some, 'hardcore'. There will exist different factions that vary in each groups particular tastes (JRPG fanboys, Sony Fanboys, Nintendo Fanboys, etc); however, there is going to be more investment evidenced by time spent, as is true with all hobbies.

My general rule of thumb is if you actively post on message boards, you're a gamer. Could probably create quite an extensive list of Foxworthy-esque quips.

I honestly feel like this month's just about tapped out for all the good we can get out of it. All we really need is a new stage... I just want this week to be over with so we can get into March. Once the 2nd week of March is done and over with, if we get anyone, we're in the dark about character reveals.

Hope we get Yoshi this month for Yoshis-new-island .

Am I a gamer? I play games, I love to learn the history of the industry, and I one day dream to make games of my own, I'd say yes. Is some guy or girl who just plays games on his smart phone a gamer? By definition, he/she is indeed gaming, regardless of the game or medium used to play it. We both have hands with which to play these games, we share the very similar trait of being human beings. Labels are just a crutch and a stigma used as a means to identify something different, but in the end, we are all of the same kind, regardless of who we are, where we are from, or what we do with our lives. Sorry for the random bout of philosophy there.

So any subjects besides girl gamers and whatnot? I keep hearing about this Titanic Attack show.

Both Attack on Titan Openings are incredibly epic. That rock and orchestra mix.

Trivia time: The band who made the music for the AoT openings, Linked Horizon, also did the music for Bravely Default. The battle theme of BD and the first opening of AoT share some similarities in musical style and composition.

Bravely Default is now a must-buy for me now. I think I may have found my true love.

Well, sounds like you need to buy X (Monolith's new game) when it comes out then. The composer for that game, Hiroyuki Sawano, did the music (excluding openings and endings) for Attack on Titan.

Should I mention that one of the studios that produced Attack on Titan (Production I.G) also worked on one of Kid Icarus: Uprising's anime shorts, Pokémon Origins and on Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance's cutscenes? Interesting coincidences, if I do say so myself...

And your mind will probably blow up further if you do more research.
