I was diagnosed with Asperger's as a child. Your family though, lol, it's not curable except high functioning autism like Asperger's can sometimes "not meet diagnostic standards" with age. But in a lot of ways I don't disagree, high functioning forms can have benefits sure (Albert Einstein most likely for one) but it's generally better to not have a cognitive difference or disability, period.

Oh don't get me started on ADHD. The symptoms sound a lot like bored young people with terrible attention spans....kind of like a hell of a lot of young people throughout history. Why is this a diagnosis now and why do we have to pump these kids full of dope without thinking of the repercussions?

There;s a lot of famous people that seems to have had it....the thing about autism is it's not ENTIRELY an handicap, it's a huige performance gain for the trade off of something that makes your life harder. UIf you know how to master it, it can actually become like me something I love to live with (there's many reasons I love it honestly).
