Very good action RPG with a unique and fast-paced battle system. The story and characters are entertaining, for the most part.

It has a high learning curve, though. During a battle, you're controlling 2 characters with 2 different inputs (the D-pad and touch screen) on 2 screens at once. It'll take you a while to get used to it.

Was busy watching the Splatoon Direct. Had a Flash plugin crash early on, shaving a couple juicy minutes off. Not to mention two lag-enduced time cuts! Firefox, why must you be an asshole during a Direct!? Off to watch a second time!

Also, looks like I'll be able to do the Global Testfire this week! Can't wait for this savory preview! Gonna need some dipping sauce!

Still doesn't beat the fact that we never had a new game since the Gamecube Era. Plus Captain Falcon these days is only known just because of Smash and memes.

But hey, at least Pikmin and Starfox were lucky this generation because they are Miyamoto's precious babies. I even bet that Krystal would be retconned in the new game since he's biased towards Star Fox 64.

Your concerns are understandable. F-Zero has been in a very uncertain state for a good few generations now.

However, I tend to think of the whole MK8 situation optimistically. Perhaps the incorporation of anti-gravity, along with Mute City and Big Blue DLC tracks, is Nintendo's way of gauging a new generation of players to the franchise for interest in an eventual new game.

Besides, I have faith that Nintendo has the creativity to put a fresh spin on F-Zero's anti-gravity and courses. Just because Mario Kart made it an endemic feature doesn't mean there's no more room for nuance. Not to mention the tons of new modes and features they could design. Hell, don't you want a campaign mode where you get to play as captain Falcon in flashy, testosterone-surging, Falcon-Punch-in-yo-face breaking, beat-'em-up sections?

Remember, F-Zero is a bit of a risky bargain to develop after its sales records over the past few titles. Can't help but think Miyamoto's statement on them needing to make a unique control interface for an F-Zero U being PR speak of, "The dev costs aren't worht it!" But with this fan demand, only time will tell. Here's to seeing F-Zero get the StarFox treatment!

Why Eggman was saving her from the clutches of that mysogynic blue hedgehog. Sonic was planning on taking advantage of her body when they were going on a date to Twinkle Park, hence why he sent Zero to save her.

Yeah, Sega was probably on drugs when writing that section of the manual since we can't imagine an egolomaniac scientist supporting female rights. Besides, that's where Topaz the G.U.N. agent comes in anyway.
