What the players choose goes. The event is for them, not us, so your statement can be seen as selfish. Additionally, Nintendo has limited the stage pool because they don't want certain music to be used due to copyright or something exceedingly draconic like that.

I haven't watched that one... how is it?

I'll be honest: While I do like the Churuya strips, the OVA was... boring.

Besides chibi Tsuruya, every other character is pretty much the same. I know that's supposed to make it funny, but it doesn't works in such an episodic sequence.... OK, I'm lying, not all are the same because Asakura was also chibified. Most of her jokes revolve around having a crush on Kyon and thinking Tsuruya is a menace to her goal, which I admit though not that funny at least it makes some interesting segments.

So, yeah, I don't think the transition from 4koma strips in this case was done well (again, THIS because there are other animes that have done it well).
